  1. An 86% is terrible lmao. You need to start in the 90s to even have a chance in the A range
  2. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire Thursday Previews T-10 Tickets Sold: 132 (+69 since T-15) Growth: 110% % PLF: 35% 5 theaters/30 showtimes Comps: (0.978x) of Aquaman 2 - $4.40 Million (0.936x) of Dune 2 - $8.70 Million COMPS AVG - $6.55 Million Doing pretty solid here. Not sure I'm seeing $60M+ yet but a $50M weekend is likely.
  3. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Thursday Previews T-3 Tickets Sold: 304 (+77 since T-8) Growth: 34% % PLF: 39% 5 theaters/31 showtimes Comps: (1.067x) of Dune 2 - $9.92 Million (1.854x) of Aquaman 2 - $8.34 Million COMPS AVG - $9.13 Million I don't know why this is doing so well in my area lol. There must be a ton of Ghostbuster fans here.

  5. With Dune 2 and now GxK doing really well, it's very unfortunate for WB to have lost Legendary to Sony. They still have a ton of big money franchises but losing the Monsterverse and now Dune at the peak of its popularity is a huge blow.
  6. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Thursday Previews T-9 Tickets Sold: 220 (+47 since T-14) Growth: 27% % PLF: 43% 5 theaters/28 showtimes Comps: (1.497x) of Dune 2 - $13.92 Million (1.605x) of Aquaman 2 - $7.22 Million COMPS AVG - $10.57 Million Yep, really solid sales still. Far ahead of Dune 2 and Aquaman 2, though Aquaman over-indexed in my area and Dune under, so of course those numbers are flexible. Should do fairly well though when all is said and done. $40M+ opening might be possible.
  7. I saw Dune 2 last night... I am blown away. Truly one of the best movies I've seen in years. Go see it if you haven't already. Wow.
  8. Wow, KFP4 is doing a lot better than I anticipated. I was expecting a $40-45M high end based on presales and its looking to do $60M! I'm happy to see the box office succeed above all else. April looks a little dry but that at least bodes well for the March openers' legs.
  9. Maybe asking the user in question to quit with their constant negative attitude about this movie would be helpful too.
  10. Still great numbers for Dune, but I'm a bit disappointed because those terrific weekday holds pointed to a $50M+ weekend, and it probably won't reach that mark now. $250M finish is still likely but the $300M dream might be dead
  11. Is "I won't be exposing anyone" code for "nobody actually gave $100M as a serious projection and I'm just lying to make my nonsensical point stick"?
  12. Didn't the studios project a $65M opening for Dune 2? I think this is going higher than $45M for the weekend.
  13. Is this the first time since the weekend of May 10, 2019 that two movies have done $50M each in the same non-summer/non-Christmas weekend?
  14. Well to be more specific, Pattinson said he'd like to star in the Guardians movies, and since the guy who directed those is now running DC...
  15. Pattinson cited Batman as the best role he's ever taken and has expressed in the past his love for the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. I wouldn't write off the possibility of him playing the DCU's Batman.
  16. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Thursday Previews T-15 Tickets Sold: 157 (+13) Growth: 9% % PLF: 47% 5 theaters/26 showtimes Comps: (1.331x) of Dune 2 - $12.38 Million Still not much change, just seeing some really solid presales. Dune probably isn't the best comp but every other comp I have spits out to at least $20M+ which is completely unrealistic lol. But honestly I expected this to start to fizzle out as we got closer to release, but it keeps growing at a solid pace each day so I'm honestly not sure.
  17. From sub-$200M doom & gloom to $300M+ predictions. This is why I love the box office.
  18. Kung Fu Panda 4 Thursday Previews T-1 Tickets Sold: 97 (+25) Growth: 35% % PLF: n/a 5 theaters/38 showtimes Comps: (1.329x) of Migration - $1.99 Million Oof. Terrible finish. Probably just under indexing here, but nonetheless it isn't a good sign. I'll go with $3.0M +/- $0.3M
  19. Kung Fu Panda 4 Thursday Previews T-2 Tickets Sold: 72 (+18) Growth: 33% % PLF: n/a 5 theaters/36 showtimes Comps: (1.946x) of Migration - $2.92 Million I guess yesterday was an outlier because this is starting to point back towards ~$3M previews. Should land around $35-40M for the weekend, I don't really see where the $45-50M estimate is coming from. It'll be a close battle between this and Dune for who wins this weekend.
  20. Kung Fu Panda 4 Thursday Previews T-3 Tickets Sold: 54 (+4) Growth: 8% % PLF: n/a 5 theaters/18 showtimes Comps: (1.174x) of Migration - $1.76 Million (0.435x) of Wonka - $1.52 Million COMPS AVG - $1.64 Million Yeesh. Terrible pace here. I'm not really seeing any promising signs. If things dont get better, then I'm not even sure this does $30M...
