Guys, Guardians of the Galaxy is part of the MCU right? Is it possible for Star Lord and friends to appear in one of the Avengers sequel such as Infinity part 1 or Infinity Part 2? Heck, is it more likely for the gang to appear in Thor 3 since they both exist out of the Earth?
The Guardians were part of the Infinity Gauntlet graphic novel.

I hope IO doesn't drop from estimates. What's the likelyhood it crosses $300m? MU got to nearly $270 from an $82 OW. I would guess it should be able to make it to $315 but Minions could cut off some of its late legs.
And JW performs incredibly again!
IO should easily cross $300. WOM is 10x better than MU.

Yep.. The internet is an interesting world filled with a wide variety of people and all with different levels of thinking.. AOU is seen as a disappointment right now, despite passing TDKR and making 1.4B or close to it and all because of very high expectations that was difficult to ignore..
"Despite" passing TDKR? Is that supposed to be this movie's bar? Because that's not a very high one.

TLW is on now. Anyone who says the CGI didn't improve in JW must be blind.
i think 3D makes cgi look muddy. that's why i've given up on that format.

I'm thinking 37.5% drop for IO, 42% drop for JW
$55 million for IO, $65 million for JW (from $106-108 million 2nd weekend), and $70 million for Ted 2.
Not to mention JW could very well end up increasing to $107-109 million in actuals. So its 3rd weekend should be above $50 million.
How would JW do that number with an inflated Sunday?

Monsters University fell 44% in its second weekend. I think IO can beat that.
If IO has the same drop, assuming a $95 million weekend, that's $53 million.

I was hoping rth's earlier Saturday updates would hold for IO, but a debut in the 90s is wonderful. $350 mill could happen.
JW is having a baffling run.

I got banned four weeks after DH2 was released.
I rallied Potter back at BOM. When TF3's opening day numbers came in, it was almost as glorious as DH2's opening day number. I drove Transfarters fans crazy.
And I am proud of it.
DH2 vs TF3 was the last great box office war in BOM.
I was so vindicated when TF3 numbers came out. They finally had to admit that TF2 did NOT have good WOM.
