I wanted to start doing my own blog on box office related stuff here now that BOM is going downhill, and some people thought it was a decent article.

for the longest time i thought mj2 could be #2 dom this year, ahead of star wars. i threw that away when mj1 dropped and the sw7 teasers came out and looked so fucking good, but now it's back on the table, except ahead of aou. i love 2015
I was laughed at when I said that mj1 would finish under $300 mill, but I ended up being a lot closer than some other predictions.
I still don't think part 2 will hit 400.

, probably why DL didn't put out early one , initial weekend was put out at 90m(although that doesn't take into account day trade, too early), the initial 24-28 was actually lower level then what day trade suggested, then lowered 23.5-25.8(same case as earlier) well after that Gitesh put out 25m ,couple hours later Disney had it 22-25, then I put out 21-22 then later DL was given 21.7-9 can't recall.I'll always bottom for you rth keep slaying <3

I think it might be weak like AOU.
Too many characters, the winter soldier side plot will kill the movie.

That's why there is marketing. The only reason why I think APOCALYPSE might not make big numbers is competition in 2016 which is crazy.
There are only so many superhero movies people will pay to see, and BvS and Civil War will both have been huge before Apocalypse opens. I don't give it a boost either.

Marvel is untouchable right now. I don't think most of the Marvel films have been that good and yet they still continue to make huge coin. A plateau? Sure, but that doesn't mean they are on the decline. You don't make 600 mill and have a 3 multiplier and not expect to come down. It's just not possible. And this is not hindsite on my part, been saying this for two years.

I didn't say dead. I said plateaued, as in it has reached as high a peak as it will get.I dunno if one can argue that yet. I mean this film is going to do a 190m weekend. CBM genre is definitely not dead.
Give it a few more years though.
