The reasons are there, you're free to disagree. I didn't say it was one of the most impressive of all-time, just more impressive in some ways than THG's (to me). Again, big does not equal impressive. Big equals big.

No it just wasn't impressive...at all. It had very strong marketing and worked so well because it completely disregarded previous Star Trek properties. I can't get why anyone can downplay THG OD...it almost made as much as the first Twilight movie did in its OW in ONE DAY...IN MARCH.

I don't know how anyone can say ST 09 had one of the most impressive openings off all time. It did well but come on.THG is doing SUMMER numbers in March with a marketing campaign that DELIBERATELY missed out the action sequences and marketed the drama and characters. Simply amazing stuff.

I don't think it will be massive overseas (hopefully decent though). In the UK at least it's not got a lot of hype behind it, and my showing on Friday night at 8pm was only half full. However, It should have very good legs so the OW may not be big but it should make a good amount OS.Catching Fire will be a different story on the other hand.

My brother said his screening was pretty packed but I do agree Catching Fire will be huge OS as the books are starting to sell amazingly well all over Europe. It is currently occupating the top 4 positions on Amazon UK

They meet at midnight under the Lincoln memorial to dicuss how to give it bad reviews to piss of housewives and little girls.Also, lets stop this BD1 has good WOM...ALL TWILIGHT MOVIES HAVE GOOD WOM FROM THE FANBASE. It's only after its gone on DVD do all the fans start criticising them.P.S I have seen both BD1 and Transformers 3 and can proudly say both are total shit but at least something happens in TF3. BD1 is a 30 minute halloween episode of 90210 stretched to 2 hours

Sorry, but after 4 films why the hell do people try and guess what Twilight movies will do?? Especially based on the 'Good WOM' garbage...EVERY FLIPPING TWILIGHT MOVIE GETS GREAT WOM FROM THE FANS! It will drop like a rock next weekend and squeeze next to $300M +/- $6mIt's the most predictable franchise ever.
