  2. so it's a Yes (2.56) there is a slim chance it could become a no, but it take the overall weekend result to drop to more than 400k, but I i'll remark if it changes.
  3. At this rate, Jumanji has a chance at 50m... this weekend is the first real test now that the kiddies are back at school. Over 45m already after a weekly total of 3m of interest, Star Wars TLJ is over 57m... didn't see that coming within 10m by the looks is how close Jumanji will get.... Which also means Jumanji has an solid shot of being 2nd biggest film released in 2017 behind only Star Wars TLJ. (calendar grosses it won't rate as high of course.. BATB made it to nearly 48m which you think, Jumanji will pass now given it's above 45m.
  4. oh and at the moment BOM hasn't posted a budget for Winchester however, Deadlines first update has a budget listed... (at least a purchase price by CBS) Winchester = 3.5m (and it's 50% of that )
  5. For reference : Films @ 50% of budget shown above : - The 15:17 to Paris (100% available) - Fifty Shades Freed (All Gone) - Peter Rabbit (All Gone) - La Boda de Valentina (100% available) Films @ 75% of budget shown above : - Early Man (100% available) - Samson (100% available)
  6. correct on ... both films @ 50% of budget now... (how did I miss that ) and only have 100% available now. Also as of 1st Feb, you will be receiving the bonus - I will post that update with this weekends results. I'm taking the final 25% of Peter Rabbit btw

What will Winchester make for its 3 day? 8.308m 2. What will Jumanji's change be? -18.444% 3. What will Paddinton's PTA be for the Weekend? 1,460 Part C: There will be 6 films to place and points are expanded because traditionally people haven't scored well here: 1. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle 3. Winchester 4. The Greatest Showman 6. Hostiles 9. Den of Thieves 11. Padmaavat Because I realised bonuses are stupid... 1/6 4,000 2/6 10,000 3/6 18,000 4/6 25,000 5/6 36,000 6/6 - 50,000
  8. sure.. you are welcome to join.... you start with 80m in the bank. if you invest 100% (max 1 player can invest btw in any movie even though there may be more available), you spend 50m but you earn 100% of "domestic" box office. (we dont' include worldwide for simplicity.) so eg. you invest in "Movie x" for 100% @ 50m. you have spent 50m of your bank leaving u with 30m. movie x is release and makes : Weekend 1 = 35m so your new bank total would be 30m+35m = 65m Weekend 2 = 20m + weekly of say 10m (eg.) your new bank total would be 65m + 20m + 10m = 95m etc etc etc... If you invest 80% of 50m then you would have only spent 40m on the budget but you only 80% of the box office (domestic again) so in the example above using the same weekend 1 and 2 totals for movie x if you only invest 80% after spending => you have 80m - 40m (80% of 50m) = 40m After Weekend 1 => 40m + 80% x 35m = 40 + 28 = 68m after weekend 2 => 68m + (20m+10m) x 80% = 68 + 24 = 92m hope that makes sense. There other considerations of course including the max investments rule (you only have 300% worth of "wide" films in release at any 1 time - if you have 300 or above, then you can't invest in any further "wide" films (ie. future investments) until you return on 300% (it's a waiting game then) FYI - wide is considered to be 600 theatres for game purposes. if the film is in 2000 theatres (as per BOM) and you have 100% then it's 2000 and therefore wide and therefore counts as a wide release to you. BUT if you invested only 20% in the same film you only have 400 theatres which means it means your release isn't wide. and doesn't restrict u but u of course don't earn as much.
  9. so basically only those who failed to answer the question did well then ...... (given it's one of the few SOTM's I missed )
  10. See now I just don't get it... I put the same effort into the SOTM's I put into the weeklies but somehow end up at different ends of the charts on each !
