I feel I must once again apologize. I knew If I didn't finish before the holidays that it would be difficult to finish this.
I am going to try and finish this before the end of the month.
if the mods want to move this thread to make way for new countdowns I would totally understand though.(just please leave it unlocked and somewhere where people can find it) I should be able to get back into the countdown this weekend.
I will tag everyone once it is done.
For now, l'll leave it here and pinned till the end of the month. After that I'll unpin it but still leave it in this same section for visibility.

Customary reminder to not let discussions veer into Fanboy war territory and derail the thread, which we are very close to doing right now. So please lets not delve into MCU vs DCEU stuff, Thanks

They didn’t know she was in it hence they’re pissed lol. The movie did go out of its way not to show her in 99% of the marketing.
She was in one of the trailers, although admittedly for a very short while. Regardless I doubt there were enough of such people to skew posttrack data in any significant way. We knew for a long time that the movie has not tested well with audiences and the reviews across the board from critics are terrible. That is enough to show that the preview/OD audiences found the movie bad enough without needing a very small subsection of the fans skewing it.

Update, I think it maybe the Amber haters impacting the score. Saw some complaining on Twitter that she’s still in the movie… idk though just a theory.
Why would Amber haters go see the movie in which she is in, that too on preview night/OD?

We have different threads on politics and political situation of many countries. We also have a real world section where such topics can be discussed. Please keep discussions on topic in this thread, namely related to the box office. This is not the right place to discuss elections, politics or the situation in Ireland/Israel/Palestine/etc.

What'd he do this time?
Nothing specific. It's just he had accumulated 10 points which means suspension. BTW for all folks here, lets not talk about him while he is not here to respond, its only fair to him.

Thread is now unlocked. Any attempts at trolling and baiting or fanwars will get warnings and thread bans. So play nice
Absolutely no spoilers, no matter how vague, even under spoiler tags. And this applies to spoilers of recent shows as well, namely Loki S2.

As a very casual Marvel viewer, Phases 1-3 were unbelievably more exciting and consistent in both quality and novelty.
The past two years I have massively checked out from anything Marvel due to them overwhelmingly bombarding us with countless TV shows and projects. Enough. They have caused me (and many others) to view the upcoming movies with much less weight, ESPECIALLY since they supposedly tied stuff from the TV shows to the movies.
And happy birthday @SpiderByte! Have a great one!
I agree with the first statement and the checking out part. But for me the reason is not that there are too many projects, the issue is that many of these projects are OK and some are just bad. If they were good, I would have no problem watching 3-4 movies and 3-4 (6-9 episode) series in a year, that's manageable. Another issue for me, and I believe a large portion of the GA (at least international) is that there is no interconnectedness and coherence to these movies and show like there was in phase 2-3. There is no overall arc that would make me want to watch the next part. People used to say that the MCU is a episodic TV show in movie form but I see that as a compliment. It was connected and each installment made me excited for the next one. But now almost nothing connects and they are only now getting onto the Kang part.
Another blunder they did was not having a team ready by this point. We should have had a team, or at least a semblance of one, by now but most of the movies/shows show no hints of interactions between the different major heroes. We should have had an Avengers movie by now.

honestly don't care about what if? season 2 since they cut the Pacific rim episode to season 3
Seems like I am out of the loop here, what pacific rim episode? I did a cursory google search but couldn't find anything. Is there a MCU and Pacific Rim crossover that I missed or something?

And What If is next month / sometime "in the holiday season". Given the reception of the first one I can't see how it goes rotten
Genuinely the only future MCU project I am really excited about right now, I really liked the first one (well at least some of the episodes). I like the concept of the show.
