Amazing that the movie is out in some countries now but still embargoed. Disney is so stupid.

How was it? How many stars out of 5?

This trailer and this extended super bowl spot are some of the best marketing I’ve ever seen for a movie and threw my hype into the stratosphere. Joss Whedon doesn’t get enough credit for making a movie with so much iconic imagery.

Kevin was running the MCU still, He was just under Ike instead of Iger/Horn(and whoever replaced Horn). Only thing they did was remove the middle man so no need to give Ike credit for any of those films. You can credit him for the cheap snacks at the premieres back then though.

I'm quite excited about Marvel doing R rated projects, especially Blade. The studio getting out of its comfort zone could produce amazing results even if the box office is lower.

It's like they forgot that people stayed for the after credit scenes to see what was going to happen in the next movie, not a movie 5-10 years away, if ever. Alot of these feel like random shit that they came up with on the fly. Like why include Ali in that Eternals scene if there was no plan to have Kit Harrington in Blade? It makes no sense.

Oh no, of course not, and I'm black btw. I knew you were black too. I'm just pointing out the unhealthy relationship that fans, short for fanatic of course, have with media relationships. It's all fun and rosy at first but then when things turn sour, they lash out at whatever they perceive to be a threat to their continued joy with that media. One might say they need to touch grass but others might say that they were already mentally unhealthy anyways even without being obsessed with a corporate product. Fans have always been pretty crazy in every fandom I've been in. Buffy fandom was so fucking toxic in the early 00's but, and I'm going off on a tangent here, its gotten really bad in the last 10 years or so with social media and fans basing their entire personality off of their favorite media/game/movie/show/singer/politician/whatever.

Fans get so hostile when their favorite franchise falls out of favor. All of them have done it I think. From threatening to rape female critics to sending death threats to people to hate campaigns. I suppose getting called a misogynist isn't the worst that could happen to you.

No, I actually considered asking in that last post if anyone knew the amount of likes other upcoming films(hunger games maybe?) had on twitter to compare it with. Every time I see a tweet from that captain marvel account, it has very low numbers and I thought it was a official twitter account.

This discussion is just making me want to rewatch Shang-Chi. That was such a good movie.

Umm, I have not read the previous page so maybe I'm missing some context but I definitely don't remember Shang-Chi ending on a cliffhanger.

Honestly it was pretty dumb to not show that there was a evil group of skrulls in that first movie. Fans were clamoring for Kree/Skrull War and Secret Invasion for years and this is what Marvel gives us? Makes me fearful for what they'll do with Doom, Galactus, and the X-men storylines.

Shazam 2 is such a forgettable movie.

What did you think of the season 2 premiere? I’ve avoided what happens in the comics other than a few stuff that was spoiled for me online but vague enough that I don’t know much of the context for any of it.

i think it’s more people saying that the movie is being marketed horribly. Up until like last month it looked like a dumb comedy with the beastie boys theme and now they keep showing scenes from endgame.

Remember when people on here were speculating that Dacosta would get hired for Secret Wars ? If there was any truth to that it’s gonna go up in smoke now.

They asked her what should fans be excited to see from this and she responded the tag scene. So nothing in the actual movie? Just the after credit scene?

It looks like what the Daredevil show needs to be. Dunno how they didn’t realize that before retooling it.

So, to bring some positivity to this thread: the ECHO trailer is surprisingly dope. Good bloody violence(TV MA), good cinematography, and a dark tone. Secret Invasion had a good trailer too but I’ll definitely be watching in January!
