Manchester by the Sea and Moonlight are the only threats to La La Land. Honestly, it'd be happy with any of these three going home with the award.

Emma Roberts' dress, yeesh. Wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen.

Manchester By the Sea is actually a slight betting underdog vs Hidden Figures so aka no chance. Moonlight looks to be about 5/1 to win. Spotlight was 3/1 last year if I remember correctly.

Misafeco is talking about a Hungarian live-action short called "Sing".

The thought of a Kubo victory is so upsetting to me that I've already thought of rationalizations for it.

Whoops my bad and I wouldn't worry man. It's in great shape to win, you understand there is a chance it doesn't and that's thr important thing.

first time i watched the oscars was the first time jon stewart hosted (the infamous crash year). thought he did a good job of keeping it quick and fun but also poking fun at how ridiculous the whole thing is. would like to see him do it again now that he's not busy.

Au contraire, he's working on an animated political comedy for HBO.

The Best Movie field was expanded because of The Dark Knight.

Result : more Manhcester by the Sea & Moonlight & Fences to suffer through.

    Brilliant move AMPAS !

Funny also how most Oscar montages are made of movies that people actually did see in droves, the hypocrisy of it all still astounds me.

i thought seth macfarlane was the funniest host of recent times. i guess for a lot of "oscar people" they aren't into that humour and it didn't play well in the room but he was killing me.

He was great, another fuck the haters. And I've grown a lot LESS fond of Family Guy and his other animated shows as time has gone on.

I've seen it twice. Once for a regular watch and enjoyed it, and one for my "Wikipedia watch" that I do for historical dramas so I can look up interesting articles/history online to supplement my movie. I do this alot, actually, and recommend it highly. Anyway, that movie rocked. One of my big regrets as a theater director was proposing Rabbit Hole over Frost/Nixon.

It's an alright B movie but I mean to call it better than TDK is laughable imo but that's art for ya.
