The moment we got the friday number last week, it was destined for a sequel. This is all about $$$, not about whether you liked it or not. And from business standpoint, this is going to get a sequel.

Yeah, I say second act is the reason why it is dividing people's opinions. I really wanted to see Serizawa more in action. If it had better characters, then second act could've bridged the fantastic first and third acts together IMO.

I waited years to see Nightcrawler on a big screen so that adds a lot to it, but I still think it's a fantastic opening for sure. After that scene, I knew I was in for a great ride.

X-men has always had really cool action scenes and powers from the comics to cartoon to movies, but I always liked the implications of their powers, the soul/heart of these characters more so I'm really happy with the film. I rode a single ticket to feelsville, and I am now glad I did

You'll love it for sure. It's very well made. There many themes and allegories within X-men series, but I always loved it when they focus on hope. Just weird seeing a great X-men film again from FOX studios lol

Dude, 1954 is considered the origin film, and that only had one major sequence and three minor ones for Godzilla. Granted its a better film, but "the lack" argument is not really the problem. It's the characters that didn't do well = the second act just didn't hold the movie together.

People made valid criticisms about the film, but this seriously is not it, especially when Godzilla in almost every single film has been essentially deus ex machina.
