That's nostalgia talking though. Don't get me wrong, JP is a classic and it will always be one, but its flaws, similar to Godzilla, are there. It's a lot of what ifs, but if we somehow hold two films to the same standard, and they have similar flaws, you can't ignore them. There are many stuff JP does better than Godzilla, but it's true for the other way around too. In spite of all that, JP is fucking amazing lol

One sure thing going for its way is what you said. This movie, and thus sequel, has to be seen on the big screen to really enjoy it. I think if I had watched it on my pc for the first time, no way I would've enjoyed the same way.

I liked it quite a bit for what it is since I grew up with stuff like that. But I also see why people didn't like it too. I really hope Godzilla 2 steps up and will be a monster film everyone can love haha

Well one's an original IP while Godzilla, albeit long absence, is the most known monster. Still, the numbers are amazing. Godzilla is a indeed a god lol I loved all the actions scenes because I knew what was going on unlike Bayformers, so if they up their game and show more of Godzilla, which is what people are asking for, I think Godzilla 2 will have a better reception. While I don't necessarily think his screen time was a huge problem, it really does not hurt if they put more Godzilla. He literally kicked ass in every single second he was in. That's something rare these days IMO.

He seems pretty expensive... 75 Godzilla dollars can get you half of a Muto
