Don't think it has a chance of outgrossing TASM Overseas though. Best case scenario would be 400 - 450M Overseas.

Like I said awhile back, they should use Intergang in this new Superman franchise because it can potentially lead to a Darkseid showdown. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intergang It's really a crime organization in Metropolis who is provided alien technology by Darkseid and his minnions using a "boom tubes" device as a worm hole from earth to planet Apokolips.

This has to be the movie with the most revised weekend estimates in box office history!!!

They'll need to attach a really low budget for a WW movie considering that the character may not be that appealing to a wide audience. A budget of 100M seems to be about right and they can sprinkle the movie with minimal visual effects for the fantasy island she lives on but they'll have to take the opposite approach of MoS and actually make a good quality movie without too much action to draw in the average joe. Aim for a good story and character development on this one.

Kryptonite will have to feature in MOS 2 if they are going to use Luthor. They can have Luthor weaponize Kryptonite and embed it into his own mech suit just like in the comics. I can also see Metallo featuring as a guinea pig for being powered by Kryptonite. Another thing I think they should do is feature Intergang in this new Superman series since they get alien tech from Darkseid. Maybe supes can try stopping a bank robbery and gets blown away by this alien tech.
