Just an idea, maybe it would be better to get to 1000 films, and then vote off as many films as we like. And then replace those with more. I just think that asking (most) people to agree on removing 1 out of every 5 films on the list is going to be tough, whereas just getting to 1000 and then voting off as many as we like takes the pressure off reaching 250.

I just added it because it's a classic - nothing to do with you!  for the record aside from this and Aladdin, I agree with you on removing a good portion of the post 2000 films.
