  5. detachment is one of the most underrated films of the year, maybe films like Cloud Atlas are underrated now but it's established quite the cult gathering in just a year, just wait 10 and it will be all people can talk about. Bernie is also a movie people seemed to overlook, check it out if you haven't already.
  6. I believe Zombie Is turning into a better director over time and those dreadful remakes of the Halloween series was Zombie's way of raising enough money and creating a larger fan base to make this film, and make it successfully.

  8. I happen to take things to seriously time to time, OCD ALERT!
  9. influential is to opinion based, are we going after the films that are most influential to us, or film makers? many blockbuster films have very many influential properties, but this isn't the most influential movies list, this 1001 movies to see before you die and in my Opinion if I was telling someone to watch any number of film, it would because there great films, I would have a few mainstream Influential blockbusters but the majority would be art film and films that shows you emotion visually and though dialogue not just one or the other, it would contain metaphors for what life is about and outcomes of human interaction and the consequences of actions, this is what film is about for me and that's where real influence to film makers resides in, Unless there Michael bay. and Manhamana You're young you're opinions will change I wouldn't stick by them as much as you do because we all change, movies like little mermaid you grow out of, most people anyway even toy story loved it as a kid watched a half a year ago and it just didn't have the same impact on me. somewhat because I've seen it already but also when we are young we perceive things differently from say a grown man, or a young adult, it's part of growing up and learning from life, So I'm just saying do we really think that crummy movies with terrible morals for children are worth mentioning over artistic coming of age classics that shows a new point of view or movies that create an interesting perception on things? my answer is no because the origin of film is art film and film that made people think at the time, blockbusters came later to make money and commercialize the world, so if we we're to say this is most influential list I would say load it up with crummy films that a lot of people watched, but it's not.
  10. Okay fair enough sorry I criticized and made wrongful judgements.
  11. fine. Illiterate doesn't make him any worse of a composer like you implied above, I would think it would make him better therefore he must play the music in his head by ear to show his work.
  12. that's a little harsh, Zimmerman is my least favorite well known composer, but give him a little more credit. At least he is a composer. That you probably can't say about yourself.
  13. last time I cried was while watching Windstruck earlier this year, music + Sappy story with emotionally heart lifting ending = Tear drops of sympathy.
  14. recently watched "I'm a cyborg but that's OK" what can I say but this year I've seem to have established a Korean film fetish.
  15. they might not belong on here but there damn close, if not.
  16. I disagree, this is a good film and well made at that, but it lacks one thing in severity to be remembered and taken seriously with time. Realism.
  17. does a movie have to have a zombie in it for it to be considered? I can't really see The Cabin in the Woods being considered a zombie film, it's more something along the lines of a monster, comedy, horror film. what do you guys think?
