"It's all meaningless."

 

Diary of a Wimpy Kid is a perfectly average slice-of-life film for children, which is fine. Too bad those older than twelve won't find much to enjoy here, as it's all super cliche and too episodic for its own good. Its saving grace is mainly nostalgia for the books I thought I had long forgotten. If you don't have that baggage though, Diary of a Wimpy Kid proves to be a total waste of time, despite the quality child actors and sometimes clever scenarios presented within it. C-
