pretty standard hitchcock fare; fairly engrossing while it's on but nothing much after that. didn't have too much of the dumb dialogue or silly philosophy that often plagues his lesser movies.

Way more memorable than the original, from the better lead performance to a more realistic/interesting relationship of husband and wife to a less stereotyped villains. And the third act is equally tense and exciting. 
 
Encapsulates everything that Hitchcock did so well. 80/100
