The best movie to capture the essence of Halloween, even though I'm not 100% sure what those essence are. But when I think about Halloween in movies, I think of this, even more so than Carpenter's Halloween. The movie is actually not all that scary, but the fairy tale-like stories it tells, and the characters in them, are wonderful.
