One of my favorite movies to watch just before Christmas. Blissful photography, Looney Tunes pratfalls, hokey dialogue, an odd couple in the professor and assistant, Sharon Tate looking impossibly gorgeous and Ferdy Mayne killing it as Count von Krolock.

 

Every time I hear Jack MacGowran mutter with suspicious curiosity "Are there any castles in the district?" it puts me in stitches. Gotta love when the Inn Keeper's wife clubs him on the head with a large sausage too. Just bizarre, surreal, wonky, beautiful parody of vampire yarns.

 

Good companion piece, though not intentionally funny and Brian Clemens not Polanski, Captain Kronos - Vampire Hunter.

humor and nonsensical character actions are the two worst aspects of it.
