Most epic soundtrack ever summer blockbuster!

Recommended Posts

Another obvious JWilliams outing needs to be mentioned:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vg7C9qwLoqEAnd since Star Trek has been mentioned, allow me to present the best Trek score out there:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PR2v62mfdX4The original's score is almost as good, but as a December release it doesn't qualify for this thread. Plus, Wrath of Khan is the origin of James Horner's music library. That guy loves to reuse a few certain motifs and almost all of those big recurring ones originate somewhere in Khan's score to a degree. It's a pity that Superman: The Movie came out in December, since it'd leap into my Top 5 of Summer Blockbuster scores easily otherwise.

Thor love theme Can You See Jane? must be one of the most beautiful ever:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-K3PuyHT46QCo-incidently, Natalie Portman inspires another gorgeous love theme, Across the Stars:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nk_WHHTQtYI think that Love Themes should get a special thread. Theer are so many.

Gladiator and POTC kinda always had the same tone of music, but Gladiator beats it in the emotional epicness area.

Makes sense since Klaus Badelt composed some elements of Gladiator's score (Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard being the two main composers) and Zimmer assisted Badelt a little on Curse of the Black Pearl before taking over with Dead Man's Chest. Edited by 4815162342
