Basically made this thread to ask about the Hungarian Rating system. Heard that Turning Red got a 12 rating in Hungary, which seems pretty stiff.

Is that the equivalent of a PG-13 in the USA, roughly?

 

edit:

just realized, having considered that Lightyear also got a 12 rating in Hungary, and both movies have scenes of same-sex affection, that it was probably for that reason.

Hmm looking at Poland and Romania, it did better than Encanto at the Box office. That actually surprises me. Even compares nicely to Doctor Strange 2.

 

Doesn't look like a huge success in Vietnam though.

 

edit: though it might be because of differing COVID regulations of course.

Just found out from @Quigley that Turning Red sold about the same number of tickets in Greece as Sonic 2 did. 🤔
