Nope, but it'll come closer. TC2 opened with $138M and Annabelle with $124M, so must be in that range. In USD would be around $6.8M (TC2 did $7.4M), damn ER

Carlangonz
Playing along with expectations, Deadline reports $8M OW for A:C. About $140M lc, doubles OW of TC but is behind Annabelle and TC2 as in USD as in MXN
Mockingjay Raphael
I'm kinda surprised it didn't open bigger than the first movie in LC, considering the pattern of the rest of world. Maybe people getting back to school on Monday hurt the Sunday numbers? I hope it will end above both TC2 and A1 on the total, although, considering the lack of competition. Mockingjay Raphael
"Mexico, where audiences love their horror films, opened to a big $8M on 3,086 screens. Annabelle: Creation dominated the box office with 68% share of the Top Five films. Results are more than double the opening weekend of The Conjuring and 14% ahead of Annabelle. The studio noted, that result is only slightly behind The Conjuring 2." Why is DL claiming that it opened bigger than A1?
Carlangonz
AUGUST 18-20 WEEKEND. ANNABELLE ARRIVES AS LAST HIT OF THE SUMMER WHILE EVERYONE ELSE DROP LIKE A ROCK. With kinders, elementary schools and middle schools back to classes today, the BO this weekend suffered of big drops. Also, Annabelle: Creation took a lot of screens to make a quite good OW. Annabelle: Creation - Came really front-loaded, its OD was the highest of TC franchise but its 4-Day OW is behind TC2 and Annabelle, the same with 3-Day OW. - Next weekend faces The Dark Tower and one week after faces Atomic Blonde. Despite that, can easily cross $250M, is having a better reception that first Annabelle. - 2nd highest OW of August behind SS and 4th highest OW for a B-15 title, just under TC2, Deadpool and Annabelle. Hazlo como Hombre - Unusual drop for a local film, we'll see how it recovers weekdays and next weekend - 12th biggest local film. By thursday will join at Top 10 Baby Driver - With competition next weekend will finish its run with $80M-$90M # MOVIE WEEKEND % CHANGE TOTAL (MXN) TOTAL (USD) ADM. Yes, Sunday is the most crowded day for movies in Mexico but this time people was either shopping or getting back to their places. A1 was heavily front-loaded because it had a terrible WoM, this one is having better comments, so I hope it passes at least $280M. TC2 is an impossible milestone, It has more chances of reaching those levels. Edited August 21, 2017 by Carlangonz

Carlangonz
So, i've heard rumors that the censor will give a 'B-15' rating to It. If it's true then have passed 1 of its 3 obstacles to break the horror record and/or september record. While that happens, this friday debuts The Dark Tower, Hitman's Bodyguard and Verónica (local horror film), with McGregor-Mayweather will be a lazy weekend for the three new releases.
