DeeCee
The number in the headline is time adjusted. A whopping 3.1m viewers watched as Karise Eden was announced as the winner of The Voice last night. The remainder of the show averaged 2.65m viewers in preliminary figures. The show peaked at 3.36m. Adding in regional viewers it averaged 4.34m viewers. http://www.tvtonight...-the-voice.html Edited June 19, 2012 by DeeCee
DeeCee
All future HBO programs will now be exclusive to Foxtel and won't be seen later on free to air television. Not sure if the deal includes existing shows. Also Foxtel is launching and Foxtel Go on the iPad. It will come to other platforms in the future. http://www.tvtonight.com.au/2012/10/foxtel-go-on-ipad-new-hbo-express-deal.html
Ball Lightning
Great win for Foxtel and will make it that much harder for the free to air to get quality US programs.. As insidefilm said, hopefully it'll lead to more aussie stuff which doesn't have issues of illegal downloading.
lab276
We don't have Foxtel, but this is no issue for me. I find it hard to keep up with television, so I just wait for the DVD if it's a show I want to watch.

DeeCee
Big numbers for the Melbourne Cup. A whopping 2.66m viewers watched Green Moon win the 2012 Melbourne Cup yesterday -just pipping the 2.65m who watched in Dunaden’s 2011 win. The number is one of the biggest audiences of 2012, just behind the State of Origin decider. http://www.tvtonight.com.au/2012/11/2-66m-watch-2012-melbourne-cup.html
DeeCee
State of Origin scored massive numbers for Nine last night with 2.59m viewers watching the game in 4 cities. It was the eighth straight win for the Maroons with a 12-10 victory over the Blues, capped off with a bloke streaking across the field. It sets a new record for State of Origin since the introduction of OzTAM and is the second-biggest audience this year (My Kitchen Rules finale was 2.95m). The previous high was 2.51m for SoOgame 1 last year. There were 1.16m watching in Sydney alone with 865,000 in Brissy and 464,000 in Melbourne, 95,000 in Perth -and another 110,000 on GEM in Perth. Added with regional viewers the numbers soar to 4.08m viewers -not counting viewers watching in pubs and clubs. As a result Nine network pulled a mammoth 44.7% share last night, more than twice its nearest rival. http://www.tvtonight.com.au/2013/07/2-59m-as-nine-streaks-to-new-origin-record.html
