I am an atheist too but I like movies like the PE. A lot of movies have the theme of 'keep going, chin up, be positive' - whether that message comes in the form of Rocky or religion does not bother me as long as the movie is enjoyable.

 

Anyway, even though some stiff expressions initially put me off, rest of the visual style was great. When the the PE arrives through all the mist and fog with it's lights shining through, Hanks holding a lantern...that's just an epic shot.
