Yeah, someone mentioned the venues we have here can't accommodate the stage she usually performs on, despite the fact that we have the largest indoor arena here.

Not exactly comparable with "Hello, Love, Goodbye" (₱250.04M) &"The Hows Of Us" (₱279.50M) which ended up being Top Grossers among Local Film.

 

Filipino Industry (along with Imported Films) needs a strong reset to reach Pre-pandemic Figures.

Hello ! 

 

Longtime lurker here and a bit active on the r/boxoffice subreddit. I also (inconsistently) manage this little channel called CBO Film & TV. Decided to finally make an account here just in time for Eras Tour opening today and to finally talk about PH box office lol. Also to commend all the work done here !

Also, any updates on Martyr or Murderer aside from that opening day gross? Very curious if the threequel cancellation/delay was a political or box office-related issue. Why the f did they released that film too close to Maid but not on EDSA Day? Didn't helped either election fever has died down significantly and inflation started to kick in

Forum has split opinion about Yap and yes, last year political turmoil of Philippines was shocking due to election fraud (since it's Box Office Thread, political discussion aren't allowed which may derail the thread.)

 

Martyr did well above 100M but I guess it's wasn't as successful Maid in 2022. Sequel should have released a bit later, it was just too near to generate buzz.

 

EDSA Day is no longer a holiday from 2024.
