Largely cause it's hard to get excited over loglines? It's usually until trailers/posters start doing their work that you see the appeal of a show but merely hearing what it's going to be about? You could hear of a comedy and think "that's stupid" but then see the trailer and think "this is hilarious!" Likewise, you could hear about an idea for a drama and be like "ehh...pass" and then look at the trailer and be like "HOLY SMOKES. AWESOME!"
