Just watched it for the first time. I have to say that right now, It's on my all time favorite list. I simply loved everything around it: from the pacing, to the acting (Crowe should've won the Oscar), to the soundtrack and to how everything is handled. I got teary eyed many times during the movie and the end with him and the pen giving is simply too emotional for me to keep a straight face.

 

The twist was mind blowing and well executed. Most of the second half of the movie I tried to deal with the fact that those characters were actually not real (Charles and Marcee grew quickly on me).

 

I do wonder what happened to Adam Goldberg after this. He had a lot of great movies before (This, Saving Private Ryan and a few others), but then just simply disappeared from them.
