  1. somewhere between £1.9m and £2m yesterday
  2. Around £2.7m for Top Gun yesterday. Thought it would have been higher to be honest
  3. my cinema is in a big RAF area, but our presales are huge.
  4. jurassic world opens in top gun's 3rd weekend
  5. maybe a little over £3m for Doctor Strange. Everything had a great Saturday drop - DS down only 36%, most of the other films sub 20% and Lost City and Bad Guys actually had increases. Everything Everywhere should be £700k+
  6. Everything Everywhere.. up 34% on last Friday. Dr Strange down about 50%. Small drops for most of the other films
  7. yeah. not quite as bad yesterday but still over 60%
  8. hefty drop for Doctor Strange yesterday, down 68% on last Friday.
  9. It will be about £4.6m. Maybe a touch more but won't hit £5m
  10. wonder how much of the drop is down to covid vs other factors.
  11. yeah my place is rammed (although still down on the first film). We've got it in 2 screens and been pretty much full all day. we do have a lower capacity now though cos we took a load of seats out with covid.
  12. Looks like just under £1m opening day for Downton Abbey 2. Anyone know what the original opened up to?
  13. everything was down on Saturday from Friday. Easter Weekend is always a bit of a strange one for cinemas. I should think everything will be down further today but then rebound tomorrow
  14. 53% drop for FB3 yesterday. Sonic and Bad Guys both had a small increase week on week
  15. FB3 has actually gone neck and neck with Sonic on Tuesday and Wednesday. Sad to see. Lost City opened yesterday with around £500k
  16. Dumbledore has been holding reasonably well midweek. Over £1m yesterday
  17. Hopefully Bad Guys does well and we can finally put to bed this nonsense that families aren't coming back to the cinema. Release films they want to see and they will come
  18. yeah Saturday was down about 5% on Friday
  19. hmm. will update in the morning, but could be a decrease or flat at best today
  20. i'd estimate somewhere between £2.1m and £2.5m opening day. probably on the lower side.
  21. if it's anything in the last 20 years then the BFI is definitely the best resource for UK box office figures. they have weekend figures going back to 2001 https://www.bfi.org.uk/industry-data-insights/weekend-box-office-figures
  22. we took it off at my cinema simply because of the length.
  23. About a 30% drop from last week. Will still be above £1m
  24. don't think quite that high, but certainly over £2m. maybe £2.2m or something
