Going small scale could work to the films advantage. Worked well enough for Ant-Man following AoU.

This film should happened after the first Avengers. It is sad that there has not been a Black Widow film.
Blame Perlmutter. If he wasn't so...him we would've had it already.

Wonder if the reaction to the previous trailer caused them to go back to the drawing board with their marketing campaign. The GOTG-style marketing doesn't lend itself well to everything. It's working for Suicide Squad, but something like Star Trek or Star Wars is ill suited for it.

Sub 2.0 multi doesn't point to bad wom, that wom is looking at bad in the rearview mirror. This is in toxic territory.

To be fair, WB never publicly stated "We want 1B". It's just an assumption by us and some of the media.
A completely reasonable one, considering that's what they wanted for MoS.

BvS is badly behind The Boss tonight. Not doing well at all.

When though? When will it benefit? It wasn't last week, it isn't this weekend either. It's going to start shedding theaters.
When it's rereleased as part of a double-header with BvS 2.

That 69% drop was with far less comp than this weekend is likely to provide, so a 60% drop isn't that far fetched.

Are you saying that this film, who has seen terrible drops across the globe in it's second week, is all of a sudden going reverse that trend?
Some movies do age like wine.
Not this movie, of course. It's going to age like warm milk left in the sun.

Where does Rth work? How is he getting all these numbers so easily?
Is Rth immortal? Are his methods supernatural?

12 would be hilarious, but sadly it's 14.2.

Marvel's problem is they kill off their villains in every movie (other than Loki). Kinda hard to establish a villain when they are one-and-done. You won't see DC killing off the Joker for instance.
Red Skull and Crossbones as well. While DC probably won't kill off non-Nicholson Jokers, they have killed Zod
Twice, depending on how you look at BvS.

If Marvel does a Thunderbolts movie, they can have William Hurt return as General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross.

Hardcore Henry looks like it would be nauseating to sit through.

You know what BvS needed?
Robin.
Actually you might be on to something. Opening the film with a flashback to Joker killing Robin would've better set up the Batman in this movie than showing the Waynes dying yet again. They might've even had to come up with a better resolution
to Batman Ving Superman than Martha Bros.

When the 15m was first posted, folks weren't sure if it was legit or an April Fool's joke, so the thread title wasn't changed.

I don't know what's worse. The meltdowns that are going to happen on this board or the meltdowns currently happening over at ESPN because the Warriors have lost at home. Meanwhile I'm just like
I know that feel.

We could see a better Saturday right?? (trying to find bright spots here lol)
Not sure. With the amount of schools that were out this week, combined with this movie not being a family film, I wouldn't count on it.

Is Justice League really that far in production? If not I can see WB stalling it and maybe focusing on a Ben Affleck Batman film or two first
That would make the most sense. Push back Justice League, bump up Batman and maybe Flash and/or Aquaman.

I'm not sure how anyone who's watched this movie couldn't have seen this drop coming.
The near total lack of competition should've helped. This is a total unforced error.

If that drop is real, Disney's gotta be wishing they'd bumped up Jungle Book a week.

Once an actress hits 30 she starts aging in dog years. It's science.
