    RTH, yesterday I read an article about the 2005 (?) "divorce".Boy did Hoyts lose BIG TIME in that baby! GU got the kids, the cars, the house and left nothing, with the main win being George St - the biggest location in the country.

    This is what I would like to know:I know it was around the time of Avatar and Transformers 2 that really kick-started the mega box office of China, had the same growth happened, in a like-for-like situation, and had Avatar been released this year, what would it have made? $300m? $350m? I'd honestly be afraid to find out.

    Nah I've been cautious as to what I mention. It's not so much anyone here finding out where I work, that wouldn't bother me the slightest. It's more about anyone who works for the same company as me, that's why I only ever give out percentages or rankings, never dollar values or admits, I'd be too afraid of the consequences.But if and when I ever do leave, i will reveal where I worked, and I think some of us would like the same from you! There's lots of mystery surrounding your job!And I've recently just scored a job at one of the Big 4 Banks, so it could be soon that I reveal all!

    Wow this thing is an absolute beast!Any guesses as to what it could end with? Knowing nothing about German All-time admits, what would be the French equivalent? So if France has 18.5m and that's currently number 3, would that be for example, 10m in Germany, know what I mean?

    Phenomenal considering Avatar contributed $77m to the 2010 Box Office!

    And it's reasons like that that put Event Cinemas so much higher than everyone else! Hoyts and Reading just don't even come close to the experience you have when you go to an Event/GU Cinema, although Reading prices are similar ish.

    I can't wait for it! It looks fantastic, and not only for the sake of this film and all involved, but for the future of Australian films, I'm really hoping for at least $10m.RTH, any word on budget and predictions or studio projections?

    Will it be getting a DOM release, or at least greatly expand its foreign release? For a movie with a budget of $9.6m, it's looking at well over $200m WW!!

    I'm the complete opposite, I underestimated the young adult appeal. Business has been booming in terms of families, but it's the mid-20s and 30s which I didn't expect to come back!

    If they keep making hundreds of millions at the rate which they are, I can already see the next movie to come, once they've been through all the public holidays: "End of financial year"

    Actually since it was mentioned, I'd probably flip those figures for DT and Descendants, as the latter doesn't seem like the type of film to open that big.
