My "At Least" Forecast #17 for total gross, February 27:
Name; Copies; Total gross $;
The Lego Movie; ~1186; 10mTalk of the devil*; ~950; 4mVampire Academy; ~1000; 2,5mSpiral*; ~800; 0,5mDallas Buyers Club; ~320; 0,5mHer; ~330; 0,5mPhilomena; ~150; 0,5m*Local.
**There is also a bunch of other movies, but their results not worth mentioning at all(less than 0.5m).
Too many movies with the comparable potential, all should pass 0,5m, but i have no idea about final standings.
I did not put a lot of thought over this forecast, Lego figure is from the first long-term prediction, as preview turns out to be pretty weak.- 1

Lego - $520k+

The Wolf of Wall Street - $345k+
(-)
Kaze tachinu - $140k+
2 theaters are still playing Frozen in my city, great hold.

Help! Could anyone tell me if the imax version of Smaug is in 2.35:1 or 16:9(full screen) ratio?
It's Scope, 2.39:1(2.35:1 ratio long gone)
There are only 1.89:1(few, some OM) and 2.39:1(most, Hobbit incl.) in Digital "IMAX", same for 15/70mm, except it can be up to 1.43:1(CF), most movies are still in Scope. More than that, there are plenty of digital "IMAX" theaters with 2,39:1 AR screens.
IMAX today is 99% fake.

Kaze Tachinu is The Wind Rises right?
Yep.

Weekend estimates
1. RoboCop 5,710,587

3. Viy 2,546,030 - 32,841,435

5. The Pirate Fairy 2,146,145
....Winter's Tale 1,240,000
....Nymphomaniac Part 1 640,000
After big drop on Thursday Wolf did amazingly well.
Amazing results, indeed, $2,3m for AH, woah, nobody expected such strong result.
-
Saturday
Robocop - $1,9m+
Wolf - $1m+
Viy* - $880k+
American Hustle - $460k+
1 USD - 35,25(!) RUB
At least $5,4m OW for Robocop, not bad, considering the ratings...
$1,3m+ OW for AH is also quite good.
We should wait for actuals to find out whether Wolf is over or under $3m, but nevertheless not bad too.
Another Kinometro forecast for totals - http://www.kinometro.ru/analytics/show/name/pompei_nakanune
Pompeii - ~$13m
The Monuments Men - ~$4,3m
Lone Survivor - ~$2,3m
Lego previews start Feb. 22, though commercials of Peabody, which comes out March 6, is already on TV, and i haven't seen any Lego spots still.

Ekinobilet started updating their numbers few times a day(before they update only once), it's practically impossible to adjust/estimate, but it should be no less than this:
Friday
Robocop - $1,2m+
Wolf - $750k+
Viy* - $530k+
Winter's Tale - $450k+
American Hustle - $330k+
1 USD - 34,86 RUB
Everything grew nuts on Friday, i don't know what's happening, maybe Juni with Rentrak numbers will clarify.
-
Thursday Oficial Estimates:
Robocop - $848 677
Wolf - $318 011
American Hustle - $261 287
http://www.kinometro.ru/kassovye-sbory/show/name/sbori-chetverga-robokop-i-afera
That's better, but still ...

Thursday openers estimate:Robocop - $785k+American Hustle - $125k+Winter's Tale - $113k+Nymphomaniac - $100k+(with previews)The Pirate Fairy - $84k+Unreal Love* - $35k+(-)Wolf - $280k+Viy* - $225k+Now even $10m for Robocop is a long shot.Overall, very weak..., strong result of Nymphomaniac, though.
-
Wednesday
Wolf - $565k+
Viy* - $530k+
Kinometro forecast for this weekend:
1) Robocop - $4,6m
2) Wolf - $2,87m -49%
I hope Wolf does more than $3m, but it's clear that the runtime is not helping, though I'm personally would like to see 4hr version)))

My "At Least" Forecast #15 for total gross, February 13:
Name; Copies; Total gross $;
Robocop; ~1000; 12mAmerican Hustle; ~1000; 3,5mThe Pirate Fairy; ~500; 3mWinter's Tale; ~800; 2,5mUnreal Love*; ~1000; 2mNymphomaniac; ~200; 1m*Local.
**There is also a bunch of other movies, but their results not worth mentioning at all(less than 0.5m).
Tuesday:
Wolf is still on top with $550k+
Viy* - $520k+
Saw La belle et la bête trailer yesterday on a big screen, looks amazing, great visuals and soundtrack, i expect no less than $8m for it, coming out along with Noah on March 27
Dub is exceptionally good.
TV spots of Pompeii(Feb. 20) is up and running, unlike Robocop(I haven't seen any) it might have a shot at $15m+.
-
Actual$, weekend 6.02-9.02:
1) Viy* - 6 866 091 (28 262 689)
2) The Wolf Of Wall Street - 5 669 139

9) Champions* - 284 367 (5 144 306)
10) August - 247 631 (804 062)
(-)
13) Frozen - 49 784 (33 278 719)
http://kinobusiness.com/kassa/2013/top50.php
Monday:
Wolf is back on top with $545k+
$500k+ for Viy*
Monday drop is not that harsh, but it is ~70%, so i don't think $15m+ is likely now, though $12m(my prediction) is locked for sure, should top AH easily this weekend(and weekends to come).
-
Should be much higher than 4.2 mln.
Yep, no less than $5,7m.
- 1
-
$2m+ Saturday for Wolf, Viy* is ahead, though, with $2,7m+, overall it seems like at least $5,5m+ weekend for Wolf and $7m+ for Viy.
$15m-$20m total for Robocop
Very unlikely now.
$25m for Lego.
Not gonna happen.
My prediction is still the same:
~$10m in Russia.
Btw, Kinometro released their forecast for next weekend releases total:
1) Robocop - ~$11,4m
2) American Hustle - ~$3,7m
3) The Pirate Fairy - ~$3,1m
4) Winter's Tale - ~$2,3m
5) Unreal Love* - ~$1,7m

-
Openers Wednesday(ekinobilet):
1) Viy* - $1,25m+
2) Devil's Due - $95k+
3) August - $50k+
$200k+ for I, Frankenstein, $130k+ for Champions*.
1 USD = 35,45(!!!) RUB
Openers Friday(ekinobilet):
1) The Wolf of Wall Street - $1m+
2) In sports only girls* - $385k+(plus $140k+ for previews)
3) Belka and Strelka* - $115k+
4) That Awkward Moment - $66k+
5) The Physician - $63k+
$900k+ for Viy*
1 USD = 34,96 RUB
*Local
Cutting % back again, to ~45 now, don't want to overestimate.
Wolf has got 4 full screens in some theaters, but only 4 shows per day on each one due to 3 hr runtime, definetely can see $1m OD though.
Yeah, baby, nobody expected Wolf to beat Viy*, very strong result.

Pompeii and Lego are close on Saturday, but Pompeii has the upper hand thx to weekdays, so it's likely to win.Peabody commercials are kinda silly for my taste, maybe Lego still has a shot at 10m mark, although exchange rate is not helping, so it's unlikely.
