  1. Another mediocre BD release from WB, 16 fucking GB(movie and original audio), clap-clap.
  2. Yep, they are showing non-IMAX Viy* in IMAX nationwide, lol, it's that easy. It is amazing, Frozen is the second Avatar, here, DOM and WW. Sonic, change the title already
  3. IMAX 3D then, they wanna get as much money as they can easiest way possible, meh. It's gonna have only one full screen IMAX week in Russia, because of the First Avenger on its second week taking majority of shows, kinda stupid, since before there is only "300" in IMAX for 3 weeks, they should move release date to at least March 22 here. $20m+ in Russia, if RUB will stay below 35. ~300m OS
  4. My "At Least" Forecast #14 for total gross, February 6: Name; Copies; Total gross $; The Wolf of Wall Street; ~1500; 12m Belka and Strelka*; ~1000; 6m In sports only girls*; ~1500; 4m That Awkward Moment; ~400; 1,2m The Physician; ~700; 0,8m *Local. **There is also a bunch of other movies, but their results not worth mentioning at all(less than 0.5m). Openers Tuesday(ekinobilet): 1) Viy* - $1,25m+ 2) Devil's Due - $92k+ 3) August - $47k+ $188k+ for I, Frankenstein, $110k+ for Champions*. 1 USD = 35,23 RUB *Local At my favourite local theater Wolf got 2 shows on biggest screen in town(22,4m wide) + plus 2 shows in single screen(~20m wide) theater, that's big, and overall Wolf should have almost at much shows as Viy* on its 2nd weekend.
  5. Actual$, weekend 30.01-02.02: 1) Viy* - 17 290 005 2) I, Frankenstein - 2 028 622 (10 020 976) 3) Champions* - 1 287 209 (4 510 641) 4) Hercules - 918 517 (4 132 582) 5) Devil's Due - 867 771 6) Bad Grandpa - 823 194 (3 632 142) 7) August - 418 811 8) Saving Mister Banks - 219 033 (719 408) 9) Walter Mitty - 202 254 (11 362 873) 10) Frozen - 192 255 (33 194 405) (-) 12) Gravity - 96 646 (21 595 178) http://kinobusiness.com/kassa/2013/top50.php Openers Monday(ekinobilet): 1) Viy* - $1,4m+ 2) Devil's Due - $110k+ 3) August - $47k+ $205k+ for I, Frankenstein, $105k+ for Champions*. 1 USD = 35,18 RUB *Local
  6. Early trends for the next weekend: It seems like Viy* may get majority of IMAX shows, despite it being non-IMAX movie, lol, IMAX and it's true colors, never gets old, 1 show per day for Gravity and Frank. Wolf has got 4 full screens in some theaters, but only 4 shows per day on each one due to 3 hr runtime, definetely can see $1m OD though, and oldest predictions are still valid, actually even more than back then, piracy gives a positive effect.
  7. Openers Sunday(ekinobilet): 1) Viy* - $5,7m+ 2) Devil's Due - $280k+ 3) August - $150k+ $730k+ for I, Frankenstein, $530k+ for Champions*. 1 USD = 35,18 RUB *Local or under...
  8. Rentrak est. for Viy* OW - $17,7m. Actual might be over $18m, very good result considering such a low ex. rate.
  9. Openers Friday(ekinobilet): 1) Viy* - $3,3m+ 2) Devil's Due - $150k+ 3) August - $65k+ $350k+ for I, Frankenstein, $215k+ for Champions*. 1 USD = 35.245(!) RUB Openers Saturday(ekinobilet): 1) Viy* - $6,4m+ 2) Devil's Due - $295k+ 3) August - $140k+ $770k+ for I, Frankenstein, $530k+ for Champions*. 1 USD = 35,18 RUB *Local Shouldn't be over with this one. Graviy will earn ~$100k this weekend, Frozen - ~$150k.
  10. Openers Wednesday(ekinobilet): 1) I, Frankenstein - $540k+ 2) Champions* - $235k+ 3) The Legend of Hercules - $232k+ 4) Bad Grandpa - $230k+ 5) Saving Mr. Banks - $43k+ 6) Inside Llewyn Davis - $26k+ $47k+ for Grudge Match, $45k+ for JR: SR. 1 USD = 34,625 RUB Openers Thursday(ekinobilet): 1) Viy* - $2,9m+ 2) Devil's Due - $130k+ 3) August - $35k+ $275k+ for I, Frankenstein, $145k+ for Champions*. 1 USD = 34,56 RUB *Local No. No. With ~40 RUB for USD nobody is likely to reach even $45m, but looking at the calendar and history, i'd say HTTYD 2 has the best shot, the only missing thing to be completely secure about it is an IMAX...
  11. My "At Least" Forecast #13 for total gross, January 30: Name; Copies; Total gross $; Viy*; ~1000(theaters); 25m Devil's Due; ~850; 1,5m August: Osage County; ~200; 0,5m *Local. **There is also a bunch of other movies, but their results not worth mentioning at all(less than 0.5m). Openers Tuesday(ekinobilet): 1) I, Frankenstein - $560k+ 2) Bad Grandpa - $248k+ 3) Champions* - $240k+ 4) The Legend of Hercules - $237k+ 5) Saving Mr. Banks - $44k+ 6) Inside Llewyn Davis - $27k+ $47k+ for Grudge Match, $42k+ for JR: SR. 1 USD = 34,71(!) RUB *Local
  12. Actual$, weekend 23.01-26.01: 1) I,Frankenstein - 6 336 631 2) Champions - 2 576 574 3) Hercules - 2 511 381 4) Bad Grandpa - 2 114 679 5) Jack Ryan - 495 450(3 412 717) 6) Grudge Match - 470 986(2 630 896) 7) Walter Mitty - 428 369(11 036 508) 8) Saving Mister Banks - 371 760 9) Frozen - 364 736(32 938 784) 10) 47 ronin - 350 461(26 077 653) (-) 13) Inside Llewyn Davis - 224 035 http://kinobusiness.com/kassa/2013/top50.php Viy* is headed to $25m+, Champions still might gross $8m. Considering exchange rates^, from now on, it'll "boring" all the time, no movie over $50m this year is likely.
  13. Openers Sunday(ekinobilet): 1) I, Frankenstein - $1,9m+ 2) Champions* - $860k+ 3) The Legend of Hercules - $800k+ 4) Bad Grandpa - $680k+ 5) Saving Mr. Banks - $110k+ 6) Inside Llewyn Davis - $70k+ $150k+ for Grudge Match, $145k+ for Frozen, $130k+ for JR: SR. 1 USD = 34,26(!) RUB Openers Monday(ekinobilet): 1) I, Frankenstein - $560k+ 2) Bad Grandpa - $240k+ 3) The Legend of Hercules - $230k+ 4) Champions* - $220k+ 5) Saving Mr. Banks - $40k+ 6) Inside Llewyn Davis - $25k+ $42k+ for Grudge Match, $40k+ for JR: SR. 1 USD = 34,26(!) RUB *Local Ex. Rate for 28.01 - 34,71, for 29.01 - 34,625, situation is serious, some experts say it may hit historic maximum, 36,5, this spring, and be over 40 by the end of the year, and that's a conservative view, i hope it doesn't come to that, but $40m- for third Hobbit might be real. BTW, Viy got 35%+ of all showings next week, 5 full screens in some multiplexes, and Gravity is back in IMAX for 2 showings a day(no hope for $22m cume, though).
  14. Actually, Saturday might be over $150k, but i'm not sure, don't want to overestimate. 1 more week(~$200k), then there is big local animated movie coming out, there is animation next week too, Ritter Rost — Eisenhart & voll verbeult, but i don't think it's worth mentioning.
  15. Openers Saturday(ekinobilet): 1) I, Frankenstein - $2,1m+ 2) Champions* - $860k+ 3) The Legend of Hercules - $800k+ 4) Bad Grandpa - $745k+ 5) Saving Mr. Banks - $110k+ 6) Inside Llewyn Davis - $70k+ $150k+ for Grudge Match, $140k+ for JR: SR, $130k+ for Frozen. 1 USD = 34,26(!) RUB *Local
  16. Openers Friday(ekinobilet): 1) I, Frankenstein - $1,1m+ 2) Bad Grandpa - $400k+ 3) The Legend of Hercules - $385k+ 4) Champions* - $384k+ 5) Saving Mr. Banks - $50k+ 6) Inside Llewyn Davis - $40k+ $95k+ for JR: SR, $80k+ for Grudge Match, $15k+ for Frozen. 1 USD = 34,03(!) RUB *Local Since ekinobilet is suddenly so off, i add on ~60% to their numbers(~140% for "ILD" , i guess ekinobilet doesn't track most of it ~200 screens, same with Frozen and most of the holdovers, it seems), instead of the usual ~40%, i hope i'm not over
  17. Pretty much, $8k+ Thursday, there is a chance of ~$150k weekend though, thx to huge increases on Sat and Sun, we'll see. Frozen already did amazing job, survived through all the competitors. Sadly, $12m+ for I, Frankenstein is now locked Hope for huuuuuge drops
  18. I guess piracy(even hi-def Blu-ray one) really doesn't mean a thing when it comes to BO, looking at the Grandpa result here, and, of cource, DM2 gross in China, no worry for "Wolf"(#1 on torrents for more than 2 weeks already) and other leaked movies then. Btw, Viy* has got more shows than Hobbit on OW at my local theater, ~$15m OW is quite likely.., especially since Champions are doing so bad.
  19. Openers Wednesday(ekinobilet): 1) Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit - $178k+ 2) Grudge Match- $156k+ 3) The Book Thief - $59k+ 4) Best Night Ever - $31,5k+ 5) The Colony - $24k+ 6) All Is Lost - $11k+ $136k+ for 47 Ronin, $104k+ for The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, $94k+ for PA:TMA, $48k+ for Hobbit:DOS, $28k+ for Frozen. 1 USD = 33,82(!) RUB Openers Thursday(ekinobilet): 1) I, Frankenstein - $850k+ 2) Bad Grandpa - $275k+ 3) The Legend of Hercules - $272k+ 4) Champions* - $266k+ 5) Saving Mr. Banks - $27k+ 6) Inside Llewyn Davis - $17k+ $51k+ for JR: SR, $49k+ for Grudge Match. 1 USD = 33,87(!) RUB *Local Very strong start for Frankenstein and Grandpa.
  20. My "At Least" Forecast #12 for total gross, January 23: Name; Copies; Total gross $; Champions*; ~1100; 10m I, Frankenstein; ~1700; 7m The Legend of Hercules; ~1000; 3,5m Bad Grandpa; ~500; 1,6m Saving Mr. Banks; ~330; 1m Inside Llewyn Davis; ~200; 0,5m *Local. **There is also a bunch of other movies, but their results not worth mentioning at all(less than 0.5m). Openers Tuesday(ekinobilet): 1) Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit - $176k+ 2) Grudge Match- $155k+ 3) The Book Thief - $56k+ 4) Best Night Ever - $29k+ 5) The Colony - $22k+ 6) All Is Lost - $11k+ $131k+ for 47 Ronin, $95k+ for PA:TMA, $93k+ for The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, $42k+ for Hobbit:DOS, $24k+ for Frozen. 1 USD = 33,64(!) RUB Another hard-to-predict weekend, so i'm quite conservative after last one.
  21. Openers Monday(ekinobilet): 1) Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit - $182k+ 2) Grudge Match- $152k+ 3) The Book Thief - $49k+ 4) Best Night Ever - $31k+ 5) The Colony - $20k+ 6) All Is Lost - $8,5k+ $125k+ for 47 Ronin, $99k+ for PA:TMA, $86k+ for The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, $42k+ for Hobbit:DOS, $24k+ for Frozen. 1 USD = 33,43 RUB (33,82 for 22.01, this is nuts) Should have passed $0,5m by now, not so bad for documentary.
  22. Why, why, why it's so undertracked by ekinobilet? It's an IMAX movie, but even +40% from the original number is still very far away from rentrak, while for some movies +35% is already over actuals, they should cover more than 70% on first day now.
  23. Openers Sunday(ekinobilet): 1) Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit - $568k+ 2) Grudge Match- $448k+ 3) The Book Thief - $167k+ 4) Best Night Ever - $68k+ 5) The Colony - $53,5k+ 6) All Is Lost - $26k+ $420k+ for 47 Ronin, $292k+ for The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, $254k+ for PA:TMA, $258k+ for Frozen(!!!), $166k+ for Hobbit:DOS. 1 USD = 33,43(!) RUB Ex. Rate for 21.01 - 1 USD = 33,64(!?) RUB, this is the end Frozen is showing some astonishing results. Must be less than $1,9m, actually.
  24. You mean the next big movie? Local ones: Looking like at least $15m+ for the first and $25m+ for the second. From foreign movies, Robocop(Feb. 13) has a shot at $15m+, as well is Pompeii 3D(Feb. 20), but i doubt it. First foreign movie with $15m+ locked should be 300, higher quality compare to previous two(probably), good date, and 3 weeks of IMAX.
