  1. It's still growing, but as i wrote a while ago, some experts believe that we nearly hit the maximum, so there will be no "Asia" growth starting 2014-2016.
  2. 24m) Not that bad, could be worse, but also could be better...
  3. Openers Friday(ekinobilet): 1) Frozen - $1,13m+ 2) Odnoklassniki.ru* - $335k+ 3) 12 Years a Slave - $145k+ 4) The Den - $78k+ 5) Polar Flight* - $33k+ 6) Battle of the Year - $27k+ *Local $95k+ for CF. The Den results are surprisingly great, i did not expect it to earn even $0,5m total.
  4. Kinometro's optimistic prediction for Hobbit - R1,5B ($45m+), not so optimistic for Dinosaurs - R150m($4,5m+)
  5. Openers Friday(ekinobilet): 1) Frozen - $760k+ 2) Odnoklassniki.ru* - $240k+ 3) 12 Years a Slave - $80k+ 4) The Den - $50k+ 5) Battle of the Year - $21k+ 6) Polar Flight* - $19k+ *Local $64k+ for CF. The Den is unexpectedly strong, Polar Flight bombing?
  6. There is no eng subs as far as i know, but movie is kinda contoversial anyway... If you want to learn history, you better read straight facts( ) or watch old soviet movies, but again, there are no eng subs for 90%+ russian/soviet films. There are some published by Criterion: http://www.criterion.com/library/list_view?c=Soviet+Union&p=1&pp=all Also there are more on Mosfilm youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/mosfilm Like one of the highly acclaimed war epic "Liberation": http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4dWJMOQ_a1S4rx_eBO4kjNehEg1Jjuee Mosfilm VOD - http://cinema.mosfilm.ru/ Greatest comedies in HD with eng subs: http://cinema.mosfilm.ru/films/film/1970-1979/ivan-vasilevich-menyaet-professiyu/ http://cinema.mosfilm.ru/films/film/1960-1969/kavkazskaya-plennitsa-ili-novie-priklyucheniya-shurika/ I can make a list, if there is a need. Many soviet/russian movies released here on Blu-ray, but with no subs. It's fine, don't worry Anything over 8m OW basically confirms 22m+ total.
  7. Not amongst General Audience, cause GA don't register on these sites, but yeah, it reflects interest, all movies from the second section are likely to earn more than $20m, but anticipation itself is only a factor, of course, because GA(again) don't anticipate anything except few very big titles-franchises, it's just goes(after seeing commercial, knowing from friend etc.).
  8. Top 5 Anticipated Movies in Russia By the anticipation rating: 1) Interstellar | 97% (35 792) 2) Transcendence | 97% (24 204) 3) American Hustle | 96% (20 197) 4) The Wolf of Wall Street | 96% (39 677) 5) The Grand Budapest Hotel | 96% (9 676) http://www.kinopoisk.ru/comingsoon/ By the number of the votes: 1) The Avengers: Age of Ultron | 93% (63 335) 2) X-Men: Days of Future Past | 95% (55 341) 3) Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales | 91% (48 967) 4) The Hobbit: There and Back Again | 94% (47 813) 5) Noah | 96% (44 242) http://www.kinopoisk.ru/comingsoon/sex/all/type/all/sort/votes/
  9. $130k+ for CF on Tuesday. Last week of IMAX along with the Captain. Anything over a million after the Hobbit release would be tremendous achievement for CF.
  10. My "At Least" Forecast #6 for total gross, December 12th: Name; Copies; Total gross $; Frozen; ~1400; 22m 12 Years a Slave; ~400; 1,6m Odnoklassniki.ru*; ~700; 1,2m Polar flight*; ~600; 0,6m *Local. **There is also a bunch of other movies, but their results not worth mentioning at all(less than 0.5m). I'm keeping my previous prediction for Frozen, but there is a good possibility of 25m+ total, we'll see how it goes. Actuals for the previous weekend.
  11. Openers Sunday(ekinobilet): 1) Frozen - $1,19m+ 2) Isle of Luck* - $725k+ 3) Captain Phillips - $570k+ 4) Dark World* - $385k+ 5) Diana - $100k+ *Local $570k+ for CF. Everyone decreased except Frozen - 2,1m+ for the preview 2 days weekend, stop 'n' go for 3 days, and back on track until the end.
  12. $120k+ for Sat. according ekinobilet, cume is gonna be over a million, great result, i didn't expect. It may be too small, because first one had like 2128.
  13. Openers Saturday(ekinobilet): 1) Frozen - $920k+ 2) Isle of Luck* - $850k+ 3) Captain Phillips - $670k+ 4) Dark World* - $410k+ 5) Diana - $115k+ *Local $600k+ for CF.
  14. Why is it a joke then? I was looking at the bottom, besides, disney didn't advertised it. But with those $320k from 116(out of ~900 possible) we can expect anything.
  15. Frozen is doing great, maybe even a million for 2 days, we'll see tomorrow.
  16. Openers Friday(ekinobilet): 1) Isle of Luck* - $415k+ 2) Captain Phillips - $315k+ 3) Dark World* - $200k+ 4) Diana - $55k+ *Local $260k+ for CF, good increase, ruble is climbing up, USD = 32.95 RUB as of today.
  17. But even with 30m this weekend, only 380m is locked, am i right? Because after a huge thanksgiving weekend everyone talked about at least 410m total...
  18. Early Friday numbers: http://www.kinometro.ru/kassovye-sbory/show/name/sbori-chetverga-slabie-sbori-novinok 7 main desires* has 440 screens, not 800, well, who knew...
