I don't care if Twilight succeeds or not, I've enjoyed all the films so far and am expecting the same from BD1.I understand DH1 is the more valid comparison BO wise but if you look at the context of the conversation I was pointing out that BOT would be a lot more active if once again Twilight managed to suprise and beat out Potter...You guys seem to want Potter fans to start a war out of boredom, you are overanalysing every post that some one who liked Potter has made. No one is downplaying anything.

Yeh it would be livelier. If DH2 had opened to 145m and grossed 300-320m domestic it would have given one side something to defend. Potter is leaving us with a big hole in BO discussion.

It actually is a bit boring, amazing numbers but boring.

We could see the franchise consecutively increase for 5 films in $ if BD1 manages to outopen NM and maybe get past 300m which seems 50/50 in chance.

BD2 will basically gross 290m plus the 3D premium. It can't bring in more audiences after 4 films that have had the same level of attendance across the board unlike Potter which was able to get back some of the 50m+ people who saw PS.Twilight is an even more predictable franchise then Potter, fluctuations in attendance are miniscule in part due to all 4 films being released so briefly apart.Basically 155m OW for BD2 and 310m total

After actuals come in for weekend numbers, jmovies pretty quickly calculates your score and you'll know if you made the teams. I should have focused a little more on films other than BD, my predictions for the weekend were terrible.

Twilight has turned into a bit of a running joke here, I think more and more people have been put off by it because of all the hate you get for saying you want to see it.

The domestic total battle will be between TDKR and TH.OW battle will be BD2 and TDKR for number 1WW, we don't have a battle, clear winner next year just like this year.
