  1. Thanks Catching Iceroll Does anyone know anything about the records?
  2. Hello there I'm new to these forums and this is my first topic. I apologize if this thread doesn't belong in this particular subforum - it just said that you could ask questions about general movie stuff here, so that's why I chose it. I'm hoping that some of you can help me out. I'm actually writing an assignment on The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (I'm a huge fan). It has to do with the concept of "hype" and in this connection I need some stats or facts about the social media buzz that surrounds/surrounded The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. For example, this article http://blogs.technet.com/b/openness/archive/2013/11/27/internet-explorer-hunger-games-lionsgate-fan-web-experience.aspx states the following: "If you can’t get enough of The Hunger Games or simply wonder about the recording-breaking buzz this past weekend" "Part of what makes The Hunger Games experience so great is the devoted fan base, who have broken all sorts of social media records with their conversations about the beloved series." So I was hoping that some of you maybe knew what social media records are actually being referred to here? Or if you just know of any facts or something that can help me prove that THG:CF is really popular with the social media? Thanks in advance for any help
  3. I haven't read your links, but the link I read earlier said that he wasn't in danger of dying.
  4. Why did I open this thread. Am promptly leaving again. Edit: Alright, I like this page better than the first one - having unpopular POSITIVE opinions > unpopular negative opinions
  5. Lame appearances: Machete Kills (except for the Lady Gaga nom) The Call The Internship And The Secret Life of Walter Mitty isn't that bad from what I've heard, but I haven't seen it yet. Hmm, I actually expected the list to be longer. I guess overall the potential noms are fine.
  6. 10 The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Gravity 9½ Star Trek into Darkness 9 Side Effects Prisoners Fruitvale Station Drinking Buddies 8½ This is the End Now You See Me The Conjuring Captain Phillips 42 8 Pacific Rim 7½ The Grandmaster The World's End Man of Steel Iron Man 3 The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Don Jon Despicable Me 2 The Croods 7 World War Z The Wolverine We're the Millers Pain & Gain Monsters University Furious 6 6½ Warm Bodies Riddick Evil Dead Elysium The Call 6 White House Down The Purge Oblivion Man of Tai Chi The Internship The Frozen Ground Epic After Earth 5½ Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters Oz the Great and Powerful Olympus Has Fallen Kick-Ass 2 Jack the Giant Slayer Insidious Chapter 2 The Heat Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters The Hangover Part III G.I. Those listed as 5 or below were outright bad and I regret having wasted time on them. 5 R.I.P.D. 7. Thanks I couldn't find a solution to the e-mail problem, so I just switched to a different e-mail that I never check instead.
  8. Hey, I'm new to this forum, so I don't know if this is the appropriate place to ask this - I apologize if it isn't: Is there an easy way to check how much is grossed yearly at the worldwide box office combined for all movies? I can find for domestic, but I can't find for worldwide - it only tells me what movie was the top grossing movie of that year, it doesn't tell me the combined gross of all movies released worldwide in that year. Also, another question: I've suddenly started receiving a lot of spam after having joined this site - how do I stop this?
