I am surprised in all of the X-Men movies, they never made Rogue like her counterpart in the comics...with Ms. Marvel's powers and what not...
-
Wow
thats really messed up that hwood not giving asian actors/actresss their due, even though
Jubilee is one of the most loved on the Xmen team. I hope they feature her prominently in
sequels
Well they already have Tanning Chatum lined up as Gambit for the next movie...probably will spend a decent amount of the movie on him...not sure how many new ones you can introduce and still do them justice...

Iron Man on Spike...still so great after so much time and so many viewings...Marvel struck gold when they betted on RDJ...

I just want to make sure I pass the training (there are 5 tests in 5 weeks and you have to get at least 80% on them to pass, no exceptions) before committing to moving back to Toronto. I'm living with my brother right now and money is tight. So once everything is good to go, then I'll move back for sure. I will pass, there is no doubt, but I just have to be sure.
As for the commute, it's about 100 minutes in the morning, but when I leave from northern Toronto (Brampton....where Russel Peters is from), I catch all the rush hour traffic so it takes about 2.5-3 hours to get back to London.
Theres a London in Canada?

X-Men is every 4 and yet FF is every 7? Interesting.
Hmm...Didn't FF:ROTSS release in 2007? So this year why isn't FF going back to Marvel? Or does Fox only need to have a movie in production to keep the rights?

If it comes to that, they'll just reboot again. No single series is enough of an albatross to sink a studio, which is basically the situation you're trying to set up. Even assuming the franchise continues to tank, Sony knows full well that Spider-Man is a popular character overall (witness the performance of the earlier movies) and that reboots can wildly rejuvenate franchises, if done correctly (Batman, Star Trek). The latent potential in Spider-Man is worth keeping around even if the next one completely tanks. And let's be clear, we're still talking about a movie that's going to hit 700m WW.
Agreed but I think situations are arising which can force the sale. If we assume from an ROI perspective that it continues on a negative trajectory for TASM3 (2016), a reboot post that movie will be 4-5 years away. Sony is not flush with cash these days and a lot of their divisions are not doing well. (Excluding gaming, movies, insurance/finance, etc) If they do decide to reboot, they won't have positive cash flow from Spidey for those years and have to depend on other sources to finance their movies. The other sources of money may not be readily available since they are utlizing a lot of debt to turn around their main businesses.
Plus Wall Street is already harking Sony to spin off the movie division which would only increase the pressure the new spun off company to sell it back so that they can finance other movies. (Maybe go after Bond which has been doing quite well). Again alot of hypotheticals but not impossible.
Either that or I am just coming up with crazy rationales so that Spidey ends up in Marvel's hands.

Sony is not going to sell Spidey back to Marvel. Please, move on from that fantasy.
They will if the ROI becomes bad enough...

Please Do Not Post Any Spoilers Here
Yea sorry...I just thought with the way Godzilla is dropping, the people who wanted to see it already saw it...

I have to whole heartedly agree. ATJ was a charisma black hole, you are facing down Godzilla for crying out loud, show some emotion, show some wonder, something to suggest that something out of the ordinary is happening around you.
If they had only kept Bryan Cranston alive and killed ATJ...
[Mod Edit] No Spoilers!

No, the "young mutant scavenger" at the
very beginning of the film.Saw him looking at the

Hugh Jackman has been playing Wolverine for 14 years.
And he looks more "jacked" up now than he did 14 years ago...

I'm going to rewatch DoFP on Sunday and do a double feature of it and Godzilla.
Yea I am thinking of rewatching DOFP on either sunday or monday...want to see if it holds up as well on rewatches as Cap...Hmm may be I will do a double hearder as it might be my last chance to see Cap before its taken out from my local theater...

That would be nuts... this movie deserves it IMO.
Always nice seeing a great Xmen film
Agreed. It's great finally seeing a good X-Men movie again. Just hearing the theme in this took me back to the original movie in 2000. Maybe the taint of X3 and Origins is finally behind us.

Well regardless of who is doing it, Whedon needs to step his game in that regard. TA1 had a boring visual style even though the story and characters were fun.
What I always wanted to know is why Avengers had a 1.85:1 aspect ratio when everything else in MCU is pretty much 2.35:1...I think Age of Ultron is 1.85:1 too...I wonder if Whedon just prefers it for some reason...

Noah kicks ass. Plus, the fact that it angered fundamentalist Christians and Muslims makes it even better.
So I live in Memphis or the buckle of the bible belt as I like to call it...I saw Noah on opening weekend Sunday and the theater was filled with quite a few sunday church crowds...the reactions and/or comments were interesting to say the least...

Clearly stated earlier that we wanted a play-by-play

Lionsgate can always get Del Toro to do the Power Rangers movie...pilots become the Power Rangers, Jaegars become Zords and kaiju become monsters...easy breezy...
