You joke...But...I think she actually did.Back in mid 2000s, she was a hot commodity. I won an Oscar god dammit!
Then Catwoman happened...

Things got stupid when the Robots would kill big massive monsters by punching them to death and they finally introduced swords mid way...
?
Del Toro took one too many ques from Power Rangers fight sequences...hence why Lionsgate should get him to do the actual PR movie..

Rewatching Transformers. Watching this after "Pacific Rim" and "Godzilla" makes me appreciate how Michael Bay managed to show us the transformers throughout the movie, have a "good enough" human POV, actually built up to the Megatron-Optimus Prime fight, and somehow managed to not have the fights be in the night during the rain.
The first Transformers had a really good balance between TFs and humans before everything went over board with the second two...

Side note but Home Alone is on TBS...its been a while but Joe Pesci still cracks me up in this movie...between this and My Cousin Vinny, Pesci had some good comedic chops...

(Wow, 30 pages since I last checked? I ain't got time for that!)
So, next weekend, Maleficent is going to open $90-$100m, overshooting expectations, and then finish up somewhere between $210m and $260m, which will be a modest success.
Then, TFioS is going to open $90-$100m, overshooting expectations, and then finish up somewhere between $210m and $260m, which will be a great success.
Then, HTTYD2 is going to open $90-$100m, overshooting expectations, and then finish up somewhere between $210m and $260m, which will be a mild disappointment.
Then, TF4 is going to open $90-$100m, undershooting expectations, and then finish up somewhere between $210m and $260m, which will be a disappointment.
Then, DotPotA is going to open $90-$100m, overshooting expectations, and then finish up somewhere between $210m and $260m, which will be a good success.
Then, Jupiter Ascending is going to open $90-$100m, way overshooting expectations, and then finish up somewhere between $210m and $260m, and will be a huge success.
Then, Hercules or Lucy is going to open $90-$100m, overshooting expectations, and then finish up somewhere between $210m and $260m, which will be a big success.
Then, GotG is going to open $90-$100m, overshooting expectations, and then finish up somewhere between $210m and $260m, which will be a very nice success.
Then, TMNT is going to open $90-$100m, overshooting expectations, and then finish up somewhere between $210m and $260m, which will blow some peoples minds.
Then, the summer is going to crap out, because it will have already been a huge success overall, despite nothing managing to hit $300m.
Other than JA/Hercules/Lucy I can see everything else happening...

Ooh, E, you should check it out. It's a fun movie with a rockin' heroine.
It's one of James Cameron's strong suits compared to alot of the other directors...he always has a strong female lead...Terminator 1/2, Aliens, Avatar...hell even True Lies had a pretty strong female character...

Watched half of X3 yesterday before I went off to see DOFP again. Just finished watching the other half of X3.That's all I've got to say about that.
I am watching X-Men Origins right now...X3 is a classic compared to this piece of mess...

I've never watched Avatar.

It wasn't the technological hook that made people go back to see it. It was because people loved the world and yes, the characters.
Yea I remember seeing it a few times back in the day...everyone was hooked on Pandora and just were amazed how awesome it looked in 3D...
As for the story, nothing novel but it didn't have to be...the concept of belonging was something any culture could identify with and that why it was so huge all over the place...

While we're on the topic of poorly rendered CGI, they've been showing The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen on TV again. There's a multitude of piss poor CGI in that movie.
See Penny Dreadfull on Showtime...similar concept...much better execution...

Uh Oh...Wolverine is about to take down the helicopter by flying at it...
-
From MGM's Official Twitter:
So what did this end up being?
-
So the sequel will NOT be released 7 years after 1st movie, the ticket prices of the first movie WERE on the same level as all othr films, and of course Avatar is widely referenced & discussed nowadays?
About the Avatar sequels, all I can say is James Cameron...the man has magical powers when it comes to the box office...
-
Pretty much it. The Wolverine just exists for the sake of putting that scene somewhere.
I really liked the first two-thirds of The Wolverine...then they decided to just make it a generic summer blockbuster...

Without giving any details/spoilers, is there anything major in The Wolverine (not Origins!) that deems it necessary viewing for DOFP? Saw it in theaters, but don't remember much about it (thanks mostly to dat movie-stealing stinger).
Not really...just look at the post-credit teaser on youtube or something...

Nothing against Hoult, but I really liked Grammer as Beast.
Yep one of the few redeeming things about X3
-
Lets not talk about that.
They are even able to fuck up the continuity even more, since at the beginning of DOFP the Wolverine has his metal claws back, but he lost them at the end of The Wolverine. And this is such a stupid mistake to make.
Maybe
Magneto diverted the adamantium from other places in the body...he was able to liquify the railroad metal into the robots and that was his younger self..

Am I the only one who think Lynn Collins is a butter face?
I think she's pretty hot and has gorgeous eyes...she's probably the only reason I tolerated John Carter...
-
No. He only got Mystique in the leg when he was trying to kill her. With Mystique he was trying to kill her and missed. With JFK he may have been trying to save him and failed.
Ahh...yea I can see that...
On the hand, we didn't see his attack on JFK though...whereas on Mystique, she was already out of the window and falling before he started to curve the bullet and he was out of line of sight by then so the hit on her may have been more coincidence than anything...
-
Well, he missed.
How so? Per my interpretation,
Erik did kill JFK...
-
So...
JFK was a mutant.
Part of me thinks that
Erik was lying to Xavier just to get back into Xavier's trust somewhat...I refuse to believe that gvien Erik's ability, he couldn't even change the trajectory of a bullet a few meters out of the way after what he did with Mystique...

I am just glad they
rebooted the whole thing. Now we can have one timeline with the younger cast + Wolverine and another timeline with the older cast + Wolverine. Is there any other story with time travelling?
Age of Apocalypse...although more of an alternatre future timeline thing but no reason it couldn't work...

I love the cartoon version with her southern twang.
Her and Gambit were awesome together
