Loved the movie overall. Despite being produced to some capacity by Zack Snyder, none of his influences/style is in the movie. This very much felt like a Richard Donner Woman Woman film.
I'm kinda glad they went lighthearted and over the top with this one. I don't think they could have taken a grounded and dark take on the script's plot.
Pedro Pascal looked like he walked right out of Dallas.

Speaking of RT/Metacritic scores....the new George Clooney movie The Midnight Sky is rated too high. Critics are definitely biased in his favor. He's a very likeable guy, but his new movie is trash. What i'm saying is that critics can't be 100% true
It's got like a 53 on Rotten Tomatoes, so they're not exactly thrilled with it either,

Oooof.
On the one hand, I always wanted to see a movie of big scale like Wonder Woman 1984 be released simultaneously in theaters and streaming/digital/etc and last week I was under the impression that they had already come to terms behind the scenes with all these other movies/filmmakers to go through with this.
But this...yeah, this is a clusterfuck.

According to this list of October's Amazon drops, Greenland hits digital October 13th. First time I heard word of this.

Looks like they spent a lot of time getting Cheetah to look just right.

Iger's new book is amazing, because there's a whole chapter where he basically lays out a presentation to the Disney board that, in so many words, says "Disney animation has either sucked and not made money or was okay and not made money since Mulan". So if you thought Hercules was the end of the Disney Renaissance, congrats, that's basically the official Disney position
Chicken Little and Home on the Range were so.............so. . . soooo bad.

It's funny that they're basically up in arms with this concept which will basically boil down to Universal just dumping box office bombs on digital faster.
Otherwise, the big budget movies will be treated the same as they always had, like the new Jurassic World releasing in June and hitting digital and Blu in September or October.

Yeah, but we'll still see New Mutants before we finally get to see Avatar 2, so there's that.
At least Avatar's delays make sense since it's Cameron.

The opening of the panel was cute, but, truthfully this is getting insufferable, especially since the Mulan delay pretty much means this will be delayed too.

God FX edits of movies are unbearable. They had Deadpool and the censoring was completely inconsistent. There were some instances where swears were replaced, some bleeped out, and some weren't edited out at all.
But then they cut to their original shows which are often MORE GRAPHIC THAN THE MOVIES THEYRE CENSORING
I so swear to God with action movies they mess with the audio of gunshots and the like. Ghost Protocol is unwatchable because Tom Cruise breathing is louder than the action scenes
You wanna know the funny thing, back in the 2000s when FX aired Starship Troopers, they kept all the gore and violence.
What's more noticeable now is that the TV-MA rating on just about everything they air - hell, they slapped TV-MA on Transformers 5.

I didn't notice it before, but Greatest Showman is also coming to Disney+ in a few weeks. That'd definitely be an indicator of some kind of HBO buyout, since that definitely would have fallen under the deal and came out relatively recently.
The Greatest Showman recently left HBO and is airing on FX.
HBO has first run rights. Basically, once it leaves theaters and has its digital release, it has pay TV rights for two years, then network TV/other streaming sites happen.
But, it is interesting the speed of it hitting Disney Plus. It just very recently in the past four months debuted on FX.

DC could have had the 1,2 punch of Joker and Wonder Woman before Frozen 2 took over.

It'll be interesting to see if the Antlers panel announces it's going digital as well, which could be an indicator of if New Mutants doing so ma be true. If this really is a loophole then we may see a big shift in the 20th Century Studios/Searchlight slates to digital releases, especially potential Oscar contenders like French Dispatch and Next Goal Wins
If they worked everything out, Antlers could be a part of Hulu's "Huluween" programming.

Had the world not have gone crazy and had this virus never happened, there would have been a high chance this would already be out on digital/Blu.

And to go more in specifics, some people are complaining about the white text on blue background slides, but.....Disney Plus has done that in several ads, like this one - namely for Twitter spots and TV.
Not only that this "leaked" TV spot has Disney Plus's logo in the bottom right, just like other Disney Plus ads.
The only thing that throws it off is the M rating in the lower left at the start of the trailer, but it's the Australian version as it's been said before. Just need to see what a normal Australian Disney Plus ad looks like.
At this point, I just want the damn thing released and be done with it. I've went through three jobs already since that first teaser.

Jojo Rabbit is showing up on HBO Max, though.
The deal could have potentially just been finalized or is on the verge.

May explain why Spies in Disguise hasn't shown up on HBO yet. It's not even listed in HBO's upcoming August titles.

Spoiler
The demon bears head
smashing through the wall hasn't been shown in any other trailers or TV spots if I recall correctly.

Kong: Damn kaiju, GET OFF MAH LAWN
-
It's possible they did buy out the rest of the deal.
That being said, with movies like X-Men Apocalypse and Days of Future Past currently being on it, that's because they're airing on FX. HBO already had their window with them. HBO only has first run rights after the theatrical and Blu/digital release.

Yeah but Disney Animation has had a good track record since Wreck it Ralph and especially Frozen.
Raya will be fine.
