    It's a two parter! Didn't know that. I'll give it a chance but I don't know how anyone can top Tim Curry's performance.

    Besson must have been so confident in the overall project the leads didn't matter. Visually it's great. It doesn't appear STX is putting hardly any money in promoting their films outside this. That'll help their bottom line in case this flops.

    The YA adaptation market has always been dicey. Isn't there some lesser known comic book series (not DC or Marvel) that deserves a chance?

    It's not like Lionsgate can't scout out other options. Are they that strapped for cash or out of ideas?

    It's really too bad PR couldn't have gotten a bigger name in the film. I like Cranston but I wouldn't buy a ticket for him alone. They probably couldn't afford Jennifer Aniston ?

    PR doesn't open till July in Japan. That's quite a wait to decide and the fact a producer has to wait that long is telling.

    Both movies opening next week will take viewers away from this.

    If there is a question if a movie has the numbers for a sequel then that sort of answers that question doesn't it? Shouldn't it be a no brainer?

    Actually all the holdovers had decent drops.

    Timon and Pumbaa were my favs. Disney has my money for this remake too. Mulan was probably my fav so I'm anticipating it more.

    There were humans in the Lion King? I haven't watched in a while. I don't remember. I can't see PR getting a franchise with these domestic numbers. It might be doing good OS, haven't checked.

    Undoubtedly Lion King will do huge money. I can't wait for Mulan. Bonus will be there are actual humans in it and not all cgi.

    B&B is selling/almost full the large auditorium again. It'll looks like another strong Saturday which might mean more spill over to the other movies.

    It updated an hour ago with Friday numbers. They had B&B at $23m Friday.

    Variety is reporting approx $85m for B&B and $40m for PW.
