  1. No no no no no no no no. If that happens, I will personally get into a fistfight with every Warner executive.
  2. I will only accept that if Shrek is played by Mark Ruffalo with the same tech used to bring Professor Hulk to life.
  3. As long as Jaden's in the cast, we got something here.
  4. Shrek 5 fascinates me, as it is a film that will showcase just how powerful meme culture is with the general public. And I don't know if I should be excited or scared.
  5. Still mad that MIB 23 never materialized. They really wasted the time of all parties with it in development hell and now Sony has two dead franchises.
  6. Ehh, feel like you still need a little bit more time, like late 2020s for that. Hangover 2 was so awful that it basically killed the franchise. Besides, Todd Phillips said he's not doing comedies anymore because "grr liberals bad" (btw none of y'all on this board are going to use that as a springboard to whine about how wokeness is bad and progressives are evil. don't even try it)
  7. Honestly I'm trying to think of a 2000s comedy franchise you could bring back and I'm at a loss on all the big ones. A new Meet the Parents could be fun, but it's probably too "regular-looking" in the "only action tentpoles succeed" environment we live in today, and I don't think the cast/Jay Roach is all that interested in a new one of those. YouTube killed parody movies, so Scary Movie's out. Rush Hour could probably copy the Bad Boys for Life template okay, but Jackie Chan doesn't get as much attention these days compared to Will Smith. I guess Legally Blonde 3, if that ever gets made, could do like 65M? That's not so bad I guess. Maybe an Elf sequel could do well? People love watching Elf every Christmas. A proper Mean Girls 2 could go either way IMO, and I'm not sure if the creatives are super game to make a new one. Man, people only watching like 3 franchises makes it real hard to determine what would be a hit or not.
  8. Nah Rich is onto something here. The whole joke of Austin Powers is "man, the 60s sure are WACKY" which just doesn't really hold much weight these days. And barring a few MILF jokes here and there, I honestly haven't seen anybody talk about American Pie since the last one that came out. That's another one where I don't think the subject matter is as funny or as compelling as it was back in the late 90s/early 00s. Maybe they would do fine as an HBO Max/Peacock Original Movie, but I doubt they'd make much money in theaters.
  9. Moderation @BestPicturePlutoNash That's enough. Straight up, that is enough. If you want to say that Scream's opening was underwhelming and that it could have done better? Fine. If you want to argue with people about it, even if a lot will disagree with you? More than fine. But if you're just going to antagonize or bully people, then get out. Do this again and you will be threadbanned.
  10. You know it is possible to commend two different films for their performances without intentionally putting one down to benefit the other.
  11. Moderation @wintersoldier2021 has been threadbanned for their consistent trolling.
  12. Finished it and...meh. Everything here felt pretty straight to video, even the animation quality, minus a few fun and inventive sequences. This really benefitted going straight to Amazon, because I feel its intended theatrical release would have garnered some harsher responses. The Ninja cameo was almost surreal to me. I can handle Vine stars and TikTokers invading Hollywood, but Twitch streamers are just a step too far.
  13. Just started it a few minutes ago. The guy voicing Drac isn't bad, but the lack of Adam Sandler is super distracting, especially since Samberg and Gomez are still in their roles.
  14. If anything, it felt like people were being way too pessimistic. You still had people saying 15M even after presales showed it wasn't the case. I get that Scream 4's performance burned a lot of people, but nostalgia sells.
