  5. Theaters everywhere have showtimes for Uncharted live and ready. Either the chains got the wrong memo, some intern that wasn't working on Sunday just wanted to get the job over with, or some other third thing happened. 🤷‍♂️
  6. Honestly I was more uncomfortable with Licorice Pizza than this. The film is fully aware and makes it 100% obvious that Mikey Saber's actions are abhorrent and wrong. Licorice Pizza never feels explicit and ends on a weird note that just makes it feel a little more weird IMO
  7. Uncharted Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-20 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 53 78 9757 0.80% Comp 0.146x of F9 T-20 (1.04M) 0.410x of The Suicide Squad T-20 (1.68M) 0.223x of Venom 2 T-20 (2.58M) I'll admit I couldn't think of any good comps for this far out in a film's run, but I think these suffice fine? It's pretty all over the place in terms of numbers, but this was basically a soft launch two days before the official Sunday bow, so I guess it's a little silly to say anything definitive at this point in time.
  8. So I just watched CODA. Great film, and now I'm mad I didn't see it earlier, because the "Both Sides Now" scene would have absolutely been in my Best Scene shortlist. Like the rest of the movie, it really touches you in all the best ways.
  9. To be fair, Sean Penn's always been an asshat. Him saying garbage dreck like this is just another Tuesday.

  11. It's more that Disney (and all studios, don't think I'm singling them out) don't care about theaters anymore. They'd rather they die and pocket all the money for themselves, even if that means losing a revenue source in the process. Welcome to the future baby. EDIT: The Paramount Decrees being no more also means this could all be a scheme for Disney/Warner to buy up theater chains. AMC's got crypto bros and Reddit meme stocks on their side, but it will only go so far.
