http://deadline.com/2017/12/paramount-sets-2019-dates-for-pet-sematary-instant-family-1202222522/
QuoteParamount has sets dates for a reboot of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary due out on April 19, 2019 and Sean Anders’ Instant Family starring Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne for Feb. 15, 2019.
In the comedy Instant Family, a couple played by Wahlberg and Byrne decide to start a family, and adopt through the foster care system. They suddenly find themselves with three wild kids, and must learn to love and parent them — despite the fact that the kids have no interest in being parented. Anders, John Morris, Mark Wahlberg and Steve Levinson are producing off a script by Anders and Morris. On its release date, Instant Family will open against 20th Century Fox/Marvel’s Gambit, Universal’s untitled Blumhouse film, and Warner Bros./New Line’s Isn’t It Romantic starring Rebel Wilson and Liam Hemsworth.

Still, these guys managed to destroy an entire island and harm millions of tourists.

Why would you want to save a bunch of man-eating carnivores who died centuries ago? Wasn't the whole idea of JP1 that dinosaurs in modern times was a bad idea? Why would you put a theme park next to a volcano? Why is Jeff Goldblum only in the trailer for like two seconds with zero buildup? Why does this exist?

Do we have a 2019 predictions thread yet? Was realizing how it's entirely possible Disney gets the whole top 5 that year. Wonder Woman 2 is the only big threat to that happening.

Millennials, that largely hard-to-crack demo that studios fear slips from their fingers in exchange for older males, plan to see at least two movies over the year-end holiday stretch, potentially even four movies.
Such are the results from a recent Fandango poll of 1,500 moviegoers between the ages of 18 and 34, with Disney’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Sony’s Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Fox Searchlight’s The Shape of Water and A24’s The Disaster Artist among some of their must-see movies. That demo reps 41% of Fandango’s digital audience, which translates into 22 million consumers per ComScore.
In sum, 86% of all millennials plan to see two or more movies over the holidays, while 34% anticipate seeing four or more.
The top must-see movies among millennials over the holiday season per those polled by Fandango:
- Star Wars: The Last Jedi
- Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle
- Pitch Perfect 3
- The Greatest Showman
- Downsizing
Millennials’ top five picks for current indie movies are:
- The Shape of Water
- The Disaster Artist
- Lady Bird
- Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri
- I, Tonya

Millennials Expected To Stream To Holiday Box Office Thanks To ‘Last Jedi’, ‘Shape Of Water’

From THR review:
QuoteQuite apart from Krieps' wonderfully subtle performance, it was very shrewd of Anderson to cast a little-known actress with no associative baggage and who's pretty but perhaps not conventionally so; at times reminiscent of Meryl Streep as well as Julianne Moore

To be fair, we aren't forced to read it before seeing a Pixar movie.

Hot Take: I think DP2 has a decent shot at being #2, and could even have a small chance at rivaling IW.
