Gotta love that #synergy

Disappointing Coogler won't direct this. He was an integral part in why Creed was such a breath of fresh air for the series, and I'd love to see what he would do with growing the characters.

To me, the likeliest scenario is probably around $85M, essentially Spongebob 1 numbers. It's a huge hit with the kids, but it won't have a huge appeal to people who aren't fans of the series, and I don't think it's as much of a cultural phenomenon like Rugrats was to cross the century mark (Of course, I'm way out of the series' demographic, so what do I know?)

I don't think I watched Jackie Chan playing a serious dramatic role in years, so this movie definitely has my interest.
I don't think I've seen anything from Jackie Chan since...Karate Kid? He's one of the coolest and most charismatic guys around, and it feels like forever since his last movie.

Blade Runner missing 40M means the record for 40M OWs won't be broken this year.
Says here we have three movies left...unless you think Thor, Justice League, or Star Wars won't make it, I think we'll be fine.

Well, with Blade Runner's disappointing OW, and the unlikeliness of it garnering sexy Gosling legs, this is pretty much dead. Thor, Justice League, Coco, Star Wars, Jumanji and Pitch Perfect are locks, and stuff like Orient Express, The Post, Daddy's Home and Ferdinand have a decent shot (even Happy Death Day or The Greatest Showman could be dark horses), but I don't see a scenario where the record is broken. Better luck next year I guess.

For some reason, I thought for sure Fantastic Beasts would cross $300M...that didn't happen.

Too busy making $20M a movie. I'm just happy Luda has Fear Factor.
They seriously brought that show back?
Also, the idea that Fast and Furious, of all franchises, has their actors in a pathetic Internet feud really makes me laugh for some reason.

Now moved to the Thanksgiving frame.

This article was written based on the 20 minutes of footage Fox showed some time ago. It says nothing you wouldn't know about the plot if you have been following the movie, even if you haven't read the book. However, it does say a couple of things that were not in the teaser trailer, so I'll just post the link without quotes.
The teaser didn't really grab me, but the description here has instantly intrigued me. Hope it's another hit for J-Law
