Judging by the first reactions, Cranston in Last Flag Flying doesn't seem to happen. Even people who liked the movie think he's too hammy. Fishburne also hasn't gotten much notices or attention, so he's probably out of the race as well.

noooooooooooooooooo i want DUNE!!!
I'm looking forward to cleopatra too, but not if it stops villeneuve from doing dune
QuoteThe expectation is 007 isn’t in the cards, and that he can work on Cleopatra while directing Dune.

The colors are purdy. The story looks intriguing. I like the two seconds of G-Rod. I'll be there.

Out of all of the four family films coming next September, this is definitely the most interesting-sounding one from the bunch, if only because of the idea of Eli Roth, aka The Green Inferno guy, directing a children's movie with Jack Black and Cate Blanchett.

I guess now I have to see one of the million cuts of the original flick.

Apparently all three leads of Last Flag Flying might be going Supporting (also, Carell will likely be campaigned in Supporting for Battle of the Sexes everywhere but the Globes, where he would be in Lead). That just gives a chance for all three to easily miss IMO.
Kinda. The article does mention Amazon's considering supporting for all three, but does say "Cranston would get the leading tip," which I think is the most likely. Amazon has only been in the Oscar race for two years, but I doubt they would do something that ridiculous, especially with how weak Best Actor is this year, and Amazon might also campaign for Jim Belushi in Wonder Wheel, making four contenders a bit of a stretch.
Although if Carell is going supporting, then that means he's probably going to get the nomination over Fishburne (unless voters are split between him in LFF and Battle of the Sexes)

From Cartoon Brew:
To be honest, these Lego movies are getting more publicity than My Little Pony: The Movie, another film based around a toy line. I heard from Michel Gagne, an effects animator who worked on the movie due out October 6, that the film held it's premiere in NYC yesterday and the response from the people who were invited, including critics, was enthusiastic, yet they are withheld from posting reviews until the review embargo is lifted. This gives me as sign that much like the original Lego movie, MLP: The Movie has the potential to be excellent for something that could have easily been a feature length toy commercial. Maybe the trick is to not think so much about selling toys and think more on the story, along with many other factors that contributed to The Lego Movie's success.
@tribefan695 your wishes might soon come true.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle
September 22, Movie Tavern, 7:00 PM
Jumanji: Big laughs with pretty much all of the Kevin Hart/Rock scenes, and the ending.
Suburbicon: Laughs
Geostorm: My mom and I got a laugh at the part where the buildings fell like domino pieces. Nobody else did.
American Made
The Foreigner
The Greatest Showman
Red Sparrow
Laughs throghout, with two or three huge ones for a couple of the scenes, and a couple of "ewws" at some of the grosser stuff. A couple people clapped at the end, and it seemed most of the audience had a good time.

No I like the first one a lot, but you're the only person I've seen who's outright raving it; pretty much everyone else is meh on it.
If it matters, I enjoyed the film quite a bit. Not as much as TOG, but I think the hate for it is a touch undeserved, as it offers a lot of the things that made the first film great, with some likable new elements and characters. It's nowhere near as good as the first one, and I may be biased because I loved the first film more than most, but I still think Kingsman 2 was a fun time.

What time is the trailer supposed to drop?
During the Teen Wolf finale, so probably around the 10PM-12AM timeframe.

Not quite sure what critics saw that was bad in Kingsman that I didn't. If you loved the first one like I did, then you'll probably love this. It's fucking great.

Why is Professor Marston n/a? I have never seen that before.
Annapurna's a new distributor (this is only their second release), and BOP usually doesn't give predix to movies that have an untested distributor attached to them, until the release date gets closer of course.
