  1. Not really. Capitalism is designed to fuck over the working man. And the studio heads are more than happy to kill the people who make their hit movies because then they get even more money faster. This is the norm sadly

  5. Pretty sure that played at my theater too lol. My local has 22 screens, so they've been getting a lot of these cheap-o craps that nobody has ever heard of. Lot of the time it's horror stuff that I doubt even Bloody Disgusting isn't aware of. Which like...I know they're doing this because they need to play something and there's the mindset of "new product brings people in", but like...I'm pretty sure letting Operation Fortune play a little bit longer makes more business sense.
  6. I know there's rumors about "disastrous test screenings", which we really need to stop paying attention to, but Aquaman will probably be fine where it is. Regardless of DC drama, people liked the last movie fine enough and I'm sure there will be some fun money shots in the trailer that will get people excited. Plus there's really not much else to watch as a 4-quad actioner. This, Flash, and Guardians will likely be the only movies that won't have to deal with superhero fatigue this year.
  7. I hate all the Jurassic Park sequels and I think Jurassic World in particualr is one of the worst movies ever made. So I would say they should have ended this crap in 1993. 🤣
  8. This is legit impressive to me. I don't know what other people's theaters are looking like, but these movies are only playing 1-2 showtimes a day at my local theater. They gave this more showtimes for some bizarre reason. Even using the "the award winners are now at home", this is just silly. Gotta be honest, over the past few years, I've realized they really just should have ended these movies after Endgame. Not saying it was a perfect finale, but it still left the whole series on a good high note and everybody was happy and you didn't have to worry about topping pigs with pigs immediatley after. Then you had the whole "absence makes the heart grow fonder" thing where when you do come back, people are excited and ready for new adventures. Oh well. Guess Papa Feige learned the hard way from all this.
  9. Aren't you the guy who loves comparing movies when they were at their peaks? Because Batman 89 had the biggest opening weekend in history at the time and it was the fourth-biggest movie ever domestically. And yes, Dark Knight was second domestically, but that's only two spots off. How is that not the same level?
  10. Her and Christopher Reeve are the two superhero performances where they nailed the character so perfectly right off the bat that every other performance after it feels like a pale imitation. No disrespect to the other actors, but you can never, ever, ever beat the originators. You just can't.

  13. Eh. Feel like you could say that with the live-action Cinderella of even Maleficent (yeah I know Jolie was the big hook with that film). Being a Disney Princess goes a long way when it comes to keeping an old school Disney character alive. Plus the music is being done by the Greatest Showman guys, so I’m sure some crappy song you will hear endlessly play at Old Navy will become super popular and sell the movie.
  14. Those movies should both do well, but Zegler has the vibes where she is mainly stuck in some thankless Star Wars show or random Marvel hero nobody has ever heard of. This is sadly the path every young actor goes through these days.
