Bullet Train feels like a 130-145M grosser to me. Maybe even higher since there's nothing out until October. Sales in Philly are already rock solid and while early reactions are always vague, the early word seems to indicate it'll be a crowdpleaser. Awareness and interest data is also very strongly in Bullet Train's favor judging by The Quorum.

Why didn't you say Papa Peele for alliteration purposes? I know we already have Papa Nolan and Feige, but "Papa Peele" has a good ring to it.

RT Audience score is at 78%. Sounds bad, but Candyman has a 72% and earned a B Cinemascore and 2.78x legs. Scream is also only at 81% and got 2.72x legs.

Not impossible, but very unlikely. Black Phone did 7.88x its previews, albeit that had some Early Access shows. This has weaker audience reception and Peele's presence probably will help frontload it further. Still, an opening in the 40M range seems locked, which I think is fine.

Plus like krla said, my main thing is that theaters don't really have anything to replace Thor with this weekend. At most midsize 12-screeners, Nope will only take up 1-2 screens, and those movies are likely the only movies to get above 20M for the weekend. Like what else was going to replace Thor?

I...kinda think Beast has potential for high teens, maybe even 20M. There's zero competition apart from Bullet Train, and this offers some schlocky late summer fun in an empty marketplace. Crawl opened to 12M, so like 18M makes sense considering it has bigger star power.
