  1. Moderation @MadGoose, you don't have to like Schumacher and his attitude towards these movies. But I expect you to still treat your fellow BOT members with respect. Please refrain from calling other people "assholes" on these boards, especially over something innocuous like a Harry Potter movie.
  2. Typically no, that does not happen. Once in a while, but that's not what CinemaCon is about. Their focus is largely hyping up their slate for the rest of the year to theater owners. I could see Warner Bros. doing something different, because the Discovery merger made it hard to make any big announcements or release date changes, aside from the big DC one a couple weeks ago, but I kind of doubt that.
  3. Well here's the thing: I don't think it's going low 6s. The way it consistently trends up every single day, high 6s or even the low 7s doesn't surprise me. My data is admittedly lower than others, so maybe that's a sign, but Porthos' stuff is already at the high 6s in terms of the average. And katniss has been significantly higher than the rest. I know each region is different and all that, but...there's a lot of evidence for me that it's going to finish higher than what's it at right now. Maybe it will be different as we head into this weekend, but that's going against what the film has been doing, in spite of "meh" critical reception.

The comps keep going up here more and more every day, and there are peeps here that have way more optimistic numbers than me. Just feels like people here are predicting things way too fast.
  6. The Tracking Team's pretty all over the place, but I think 45M sounds about right. It's the one and only outcome where we all end up fighting over whether the movie is under/overperforming and whether WB will actually continue the Beasts storyline, so it makes sense that the "worst result" is what happens at the end.
  7. Moderation Okay, we're done here. You guys want to keep on in this pointless fighting, do it through PMs

  10. I felt the perfect expansion date for EEAAO was Easter, since you get a Good Friday boost, but I think its awards prospects will be fine regardless. It’s clear there’s a lot of passion for the film. The kind that won’t really leave unless this year’s film festivals are full of absolute bangers, which…yeah it’s possible, but would require a bunch of awards hopefuls to go absolutely right, which is tough.
  11. Guess I’m the doofus who thought Swiss Army Man was better. Both excel as visual feasts with a lovely oddball flair, but I think Swiss tackled its themes and ideas better. Still really got a kick out of this, and I especially loved Ke Huy Quan and his versatility here. I really hope he gets more work after this
  12. Sonic 3 will do like 70M, we'll all cry about it and say it should have done more, and then we just move on with our lives, while Paramount greenlights a Sonic 4 and like 2 more Paramount+ shows. Count on it.
