  1. I was at the movies a couple weeks back, and some teenage girls were passing a Charlie's Angels poster in the lobby and were making fun of the movie and KStew. Probably a little harsh, but it stuck in my head for a while
  2. Well I don't think Bing Crosby has anything to do with Philly. But for Mr. Cosby, he was born in Philly, he went to Temple. Fat Albert took place in Philly. He's sadly got that blood
  3. Maybe I expected too much, but I didn't expect the comps to drop. That doesn't make it a bad day by any means, but it's not all that exciting either. Still gunning for decent money tho
  5. As somebody who supports everything Philly-related (outside of Cosby...and lowkey Kevin Hart), I have to stan a series that features Carl Weathers (yes I know Weathers isn't actually from Philly, don't have to comment and be a know-it-all)
  6. Midterms have made me cut out all movie watching for me Thankfully my last midterm is on Wednesday, and I'm hoping to see The King when it's all done (and Jojo and Parasite and Dolemite and Doctor Sleep...this time of year is stressful for my movie watching)
  7. Well actually I haven't preordered it yet. Might wait a few months when there's a bit more content and some of the Netflix contracts wrap up. I just wanted to show off my punny name.
  8. Moved to TV Shows. Don't know much about 3 Caballeros, but I do like some Donald Duck, so I'm curious in the series...y'know, when I eventually get the service
  9. I have now assimilated into the Di$ney culture. I am a sheep.
  10. https://deadline.com/2019/11/parasite-bong-joon-ho-box-office-marketing-success-1202781944/ This was a good read
  11. It's weird Sony didn't have a second trailer out. It would have done wonders and kept the buzz going. As is, they had a trailer out early, but nothing else to carry the momentum, especially since I didn't see it play in front of any movie. And I've been to the theaters a good number of times.
  12. Off the top of my head, I think the last time was in February 2012, when The Vow, Safe House, Journey 2, and Phantom Menace 3D (it counts) all opened.
  13. At least for Thursday, around my area, sales are decent, though not exceptional. I don't see 30M just yet, but I think it can do about 25M give or take a few. With that opening, 100M is at least possible if the awards scene is on the movie's side.
  14. Wow it's only behind Parasite and Farewell for PTAs this year (and Endgame). That's even better. All hail Shia!
  15. Oh yeah I'm not expecting much in expansion either, but I like Shia and Lucas, and I was hopeful that the movie at least delivered a solid PTA.
  16. Bit surprised at that number. Didn't feel there was all that much buzz going into the weekend, so it only doing slightly less than Jojo is pretty nice to see. Guess Shia/Lucas are the new indie darlings. Speaking of Lucas, hopefully Waves delivers next week too.
  17. Any news on Honey Boy yet? It was the movie I was most interested in box office wise this weekend
