  1. Deadline posted an article a couple days back that downgraded it to 35-40M https://deadline.com/2019/10/joker-maleficent-2-black-and-blue-countdown-halloween-box-office-weekend-1202769043/
  2. Just learned about John Witherspoon's passing. And I just rewatched some Boondocks a couple weeks ago

Still on okay comps, but we'll see if the next two days will change anything
  6. I don't think they can do that, contractually speaking. More likely, Disney will wait it out for a couple years, and use all the Fox films as a new selling point for "new" content on both Disney+ and Hulu. Can't wait for the FOX-Men to be snuggled next to the MCU-Men in the Marvel tab
  7. My parents have HBO on their cable package, and their provider is Comcast (I'm embarrassed too), so I guess I'll just freeload off my parents and get Max and Peacock. And hey, I've got money so I'll probably pay for Disney+ myself, with maybe that bundle too, even though I have no use for ESPN+. Guess I'm part of the problem when it comes to the whole "so much streaming" issue
  8. Universal still has a contract with HBO, at least here in the US, that has their movies appear on HBO. The contract is set to expire in 2022, so they probably won't renew and just dump all their new stuff to Peacock. Fox has an HBO contract for until 2022 as well, which is why there's little Fox presence on Disney+ at the moment.
  9. Layout is up Not as effective as the Disney+ buttons, probably won't get cute little animations when you hover over them, but still a good way to organize everything
  10. I’m in choir practice right now, so I sadly can’t watch it. Guess I’ll just follow it on Twitter while wading through a bunch of Snyder Cut weenies acting like weenies
  11. One of the local nonprofits near me is getting this on Friday. Hoping to see it this weekend.
  12. Do you know if there's a live stream or something where we'll see the investor's meeting? Disney did it for Disney+ this past April

If that doesn't speak volumes, I don't know what does
  15. Harriet Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-3 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 18 149 2,515 5.92% Comp 0.548x of Hustlers 3 days before release (1.37M) 0.347x of Downton Abbey 3 days before release (729K) 0.629x of Gemini Man 3 days before release (1.01M) 2.224x of Black and Blue 3 days before release (1.50M) Don't go out expecting this to be a breakout all of a sudden just yet. Black and Blue looked the same way, and that ended up with 675K previews. @Inceptionzq mentioned this, but Philadelphia having a largely black demographic could sway results here quite a bit, and this seems like the case here too. We'll see what the next few days have in store though.
