  2. Doing that kind of last-minute delay for a film with two trailers and a Super Bowl spot ready to go would basically kill the movie worldwide. They're not gonna push a movie back solely because of one market.
  3. They played a BTS video on the F9 Concert Livestream thingy. Trailer's supposed to drop in a few minutes
  4. I dunno. Anecdotal, but I've seen plenty of people in my friend circles pretty interested in Mulan, and there still seems to be solid enough buzz online and in Disney fan circles. Also feel like Mulan has a bigger following today than back in '98. I'm sure I'll be proven wrong in a couple weeks, but I would be kind of surprised if this opened below 70M

Complete shot in the dark, but I could see something like 3M+ previews at the way it's going, which would probably make 30M for the 3-Day the minimum.

I'll admit I would have liked a bigger jump, and the tepid presales from other people here does have me wary. But as always, it's hard to know the actual trajectory. Still not impossible for this to breakout huge in its previews.

Can't wait to look at Prey and Sonic later tonight

We'll see where WOM takes this
  10. I still have no idea what Dune is really about, and I kind of don't want to until I see the movie. All I know is that the main character rides a sand worm thru the desert, and Timmy on there sounds hot as h*ck.

  12. Birds of Prey Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-8 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 53 179 12,658 1.41% Comp 0.181x of It: Chapter Two 8 days before release (1.90M) 0.198x of Joker (2.63M) 1.119x of Terminator (2.63M) Adjusted Comp 0.509x of Hobbs & Shaw (2.95M) I'm sure that a lot of people are going to predict doom and gloom. But it's important to recognize that when I track 8 days before release, that means I'm tracking movies which had way more days to get tickets and presales up. So for something like It 2, which had like a month's worth of presales, that really means something. I know I probably could do it by "first day of presales", but on the other hand, I'm lazy and don't want to put in the extra work. Woe is me. But with that said, since Joker wasn't that far apart in presales, I did look at the first day between the two. It is better, with Birds of Prey about 0.3x of Joker 10 days before release, but that still only gets it to about 4M. Will it get better? I think so, but I don't feel ultra-confident in 8M previews just yet. As always, let's just see how the next few days go.
