The Box Office Buzz and Tracking Thread: Electric Boogaloo
Eric the Clown replied to grim22's topic in Numbers and Data
As for Joker, showtimes are aplenty here. 71 showings have been posted thus far. Don't know how that compares to other movies before presales, but it's still higher than the every movie's final showtimes, apart from Lion King and It2, so obviously very, very impressive -

@cdsacken You know that Multi-Quote exists, right? -
Bit of a shame that Abominable looks to be a nonstarter (feels like it'll open under Smallfoot at this point). We could have had 7 consecutive weeks of a movie opening to over 30M (It2, Hustlers and Downton already did it, Joker could triple 30M, Gemini Man is tracking to about 28-30M, which could go higher if reviews/later marketing are strong, Maleficent/Zombieland both have decent shots at reaching 30M+). Ah well

LMFAO at Ansel saying "my mom liked it" It's not as embarrasing as H*rvey W*nstein saying Alicia Vikander's mom's friend liked Tulip Fever, but it's pretty close -

Following First Man, that would translate to 21.8M. That would not be a great number considering the budget and all, but it could at least save some face having a "2" in front instead of a "1". Of course, the big downside is WOM seems super toxic (already rotten on RT's Aud. score), so who knows if it actually will hit 20M?
