  1. https://deadline.com/2019/02/mission-impossible-7-8-land-release-dates-1202548071/ Release date of Aug. 5, 2022
  2. People who gave their vote to Infinity War instead of Black Panther for Best Picture are cops. Change my mind
  3. Can't say anything about the other movies, but Sherlock Gnomes really ain't "garbage." Certainly not good by any stretch of the imagination, but it's harmless kids fluff that you forget about the moment after you watch it. Don't really think it qualifies under the "garbage" umbrella.
  4. Even with Shazam a week later, those legs for Dumbo seem unlikely, barring the movie being garbage. Opening sounds about right though.
  5. https://pro.boxoffice.com/long-range-tracking-tim-burtons-dumbo/ Dumbo: 45-65 range. 59/175 Prodigy: 5.75 (+5%)/ 13 (+8%) Alita: 16 (+3%)/ 45 (+2%) Fighting with My Family: 8/25 Dragon 3: 49/173 (+11%)
  6. Definitely feels like Captain Marvel will at least be above Hunger Games, even if Lego and/or Dragon overperform. The last major event movie was Aquaman, which will be 3 months old, MCU's the biggest thing in pop culture right now, representation, riding the coattails of Endgame. And again, even if Lego or Dragon overperform, their high end is arguably around the 200M mark. Unless it's godawful, Captain Marvel's got everything going for it.
  7. This is the first weekend since Labor Day 2015 that the #1 movie made sub-$10M. That's embarrassing.
  8. Technically Tom Hanks wasn't in a 100M hit within the past year Oprah was though thanks to a solid wrinkle of fudge
  9. Makes sense the homeboy who intentionally cited Jeff Wells to discredit Richard E. Grant would read 4chan.
  10. It's real sad to think that the Academy thinks Oldman, McDormand, Rockwell and Janney aren't "popular" enough. For God's sake, Rockwell's nominated again this year!
  11. Runtimes w/out credits and attachments Lego: 1:38. I got Shazam and Detective Pikachu at my early screening, so it's probably the same here Cold Pursuit: 1:50. Hellboy and John Wick are the attachments What Men Want: 1:48. Pet Sematary and Rocketman The Prodigy: 1:26. Child's Play (debut trailer) and Fighting with my Family
  12. For Super Bowl comps, Winchester did $615K last year.
  13. Peppermint had $800K for its previews as a comparison.
  14. I'm not completely sold on this beating out F8 here in the states, but I feel like there's a very strong shot after watching this.
  15. I believe Wonder Park is getting a pre-game spot too. But yeah, it's very strange there aren't a lot of movie spots.
